Is it Petey and Me or Petey and I?

Hey folks, I'm back on the correct side of the pond today but I hope you enjoyed yesterday's homage to the British Isles or rather the British accent.

If you didn't already know, Mom and Dad rotate mornings so one can sleep in while the other gives me my early morning bottle. However, early is subjective because today my "early" morning bottle came at about NINE THIRTY when I finally woke up. You're surely thinking that I must have been up all night to sleep all the way to 9:30. Nope, I went to bed at 11:00 which means I got 10.5 hours of sleep. And it was delicious. I may have my Mom's nose, but I have my Dad's... um, would you call it an ability to sleep in? Lucky for Mom it was her morning but don't worry Dad, I'm gearing up for a 5:30 morning on Friday! Anyway, I was well rested and ready for the day.

After breakfast, Mom had me do some tummy time which is becoming a bit more tolerable. They seemed pretty impressed with how well I was doing holding my head up but less impressed with how well I was drooling on the mini Boppy. Whatever.

After tummy time Mom and I headed out on the town. First stop was to Miss Anne's house, my future day care lady, for an immunization form. I have a sneaking suspicion that has something to do with my doctor appointment tomorrow but Mom and Dad are being pretty tight lipped on that front. That can't be good for me.

Next we headed over to the post office. Can you believe those charlatans raised stamp prices to 42 cents on May 12th? I remember back when I was a kid you could get a stamp for 41 cents. Times sure are a changin'. (Update: Stamps are now 44 cents and went up on May 11th.  So apparently I remember when you could get them for 42 cents.  My fact checker searched "stamp price increase" at usps.com and the first article that came up was from 2008 rather than 2009.  No wonder those idiots are going out of business!)

After the post office it was off to work at Aunt Abby's sweat shop. Aunt Abby is pretty relaxed when it comes to following child labor laws. She claims her serger's user guide doesn't have a minimum age requirement. I went ahead and helped her but drooled on everything out of spite.

I also witnessed AA do a model fitting for her fashion show on Saturday which was very exciting  You can read about AA at westeighteenthstreet.com or at Ink or read an interview at Examiner.  AA sure is getting a lot of press.  SO EXCITING!

Later in the afternoon, I played with Grandpa Herbert after he got home from work and read a book called Petey and I with Grandma Herbert. It was released in 1973 and is now out of print. I guess that makes it a classic so I went ahead and did NOT drool on it.

Until Later,
Avery
