1.21 Gigawatts

Miss Anne's kids are on Spring Break this week so she and the rest of the family got outta Dodge to celebrate. Normally this would totally bum me out but when I found out I was going to split time between my Grandmas instead, my frown turned upside down. (too cliche? Don't mock me, I'm not even ONE remember!)

I think there was a flap in the space-time continume continum continueum continioum continuom continuome continueme continoum continuem continium continyoum continuum (gave up and spell checked. I'd have never gotten there. Two u's? (insert your own My Cousin Vinny joke)) early Sunday morning because we apparently sprung forward in time. And it's not like we were doing 88 miles per hour or standing in a phone booth or sitting in a sleigh type thing with a spinning umbrella at the back or anything. I mean, it didn't result in me running into Morlocks and Eloi but it has kind of thrown off my sleep schedule because I slept in nearly an hour later than normal on Monday. Coincidence? I think not. (I hope you olds (that means 50+ in blogosphere parlance) have enjoyed these last few references.)

Because I slept in late, I wasn't ready when GmaD came to pick me up but that just meant she was there to feed me a bottle she would have missed out on otherwise. When we left we were off to do some glamorous shopping at..... WAL-MART. Awesome? Fortunately the next stop was to Nordstrom for lunch with Dad, Aunt Darty and Grandpa Davenport.

After lunch, those other poor saps had to go back to work but GmaD and I did some more shopping. How old do you have to be to get one of those Nordstrom Cards?

After I got home, Mom tried to violate one of my personal rules: Nothing goes on my head. She took one of her headbands and tried it on me. It kind of fit which raises quite a few questions about which one of us has the abnormal head size. Hmm. As far as head wear goes, it wasn't the worst but I still wasn't a huge fan. The bad news is that Mom thought it was pretty cute which means this probably won't be the last time I wear some version of it. The good news is that Dad is sympathetic.

On Tuesday, we had lunch at G&G D's but not before a trip to World Market and Target. Do you think GmaD bought me anything? Bullseye! (Sorry, "target" jokes are few and far between.) GmaD got me some sweet new kicks. Have you ever played with Velcro? Love it! After Lunch, GmaD and I headed out to stimulate the economy some more. Two words for you: Shoe Carnival. Sweet.

Remember, you can't take it with you, but you can lick it so no one else can take it when you're gone.

Until Later,
