Define Baby

Sorry I didn't post Monday; I guess I wasn't really in the mood. As a few of you noticed, March 1st came and went without you getting an urgent request from me to go vote in Regis and Kathie Lee Kelly's Beautiful Baby contest. Even though Mom & Dad hadn't been contacted, I went ahead and checked first thing (well, after my bottle so I guess it was second thing.) You can see all ten semi-finalist at the Parenting Magazine site and the top five finalist are shown below.

As you know, I have a long list of grievances with this whole contest and I'll be honest, not making the semi-finals has really just made the list longer. I think going from 6 months to 48 months is too big a span. They should break it down into flights or something. The youngest kid to make the top 10 was 14 months and the youngest to make the finals is 17 months with most being 2 or 3. I mean, these kids have all their teeth and full heads of hair. They definitely belong in a different flight. Let me compete against similarly attributed BABIES and I'm in the running. And seriously, it's not called Beautiful Toddler search, it's Beautiful BABY search. I mean, look at this pick. Really? Really! Really?!?

Okay, settle down, in through the nose, out through the mouth. 10...9...8...7 ALSO, I'm not sure my picture even made it in because I never saw my pic among the 300 other Averys in the general population gallery. Stupid contest!

So, I turned 11 months old yesterday though with my pants pulled up near my armpits you might think I'm Eleven Hundred months old (in my 90s math wiz.) Can you believe we're quickly approaching a year old? I better bone up on my skillz test so M&D can circle a few more Yeses.

You may have noticed that I added another new feature to my blog. When you mouse over pictures (and some links) there's a little caption that pops up in a yellow box. It's a new feature (newly learned by me that is) so it's only on the last few posts but I hope to keep doing it. Those of you challenged by even turning a computer on are probably impressed with this new feature while those of you that can ballpark what HTML stands for are probably not.

I always see my sisters pick things up with their mouth so I thought I'd give it a try. It's not difficult but opposable thumbs is still where it's at.

Do you know what 69mg of caffeine does to an 11 month old? LET'S FIND OUT!

Remember, you can't take it with you, but you can lick it so no one else can take it when you're gone.

Until Later,
Avery
