Go Daddy

On Sunday morning, Mom had to work so Dad and I gave her some peace and quiet by meeting Grandma & Grandpa Davenport at breakfast. GmaD didn't even get to hold me at breakfast Saturday morning because she and Aunt Darty had to leave early for a pedi so I knew I was gonna get some quality GmaD time on Sunday. In fact, GmaD even offered to join Dad and me on a trip to Nebraska Furniture Mart after breakfast. Poor GpaD, we weren't 15 steps into that place before GmaD found a pillow she couldn't live without. Sorry GpaD!

Sunday night, I got all settled in to watch my first Oscars but M&D decided I had to go to bed before the Red Carpet even ended. Where's the fable? Fortunately (or unfortunately) I did get to see Sarah Jessica Parker in this yellow Chanel monstrosity (can't believe I spelled that right the first try.) And I wasn't the only one to have her on the 'Worst Dressed' list either. What's amazing is how forgiving these still images are because on TV her skin was an unholy ORANGE color. Yikes!

On Monday night, we went over to G&G D's to celebrate Aunt Lily's 12th birthday.

I got to play with G&G D, AD, Uncle Dave, Cousin Riley and of course my sisters. After all the excitement, I went straight to bed as soon as I got home. So tired.

Tonight was pretty awesome. I had FRUIT for the very first time (peaches=awesome) and Dad took 12 minutes of pretty unexciting video. But don't worry, that's not what's below. At Target, M&D saw a stroller designed to help me learn to walk. Fortunately, G&G D found the same stroller three months ago and gave it to me for Christmas. M&D didn't think I was ready for it then but I definitely am now so they brought it down. It is kind of like my shopping cart but it's specially designed to help me keep my balance whereas the shopping cart is not (though magically I have yet to take a header.) It's almost like the people that determine the age appropriateness of toys know what they're doing.

Danica Patrick better look out because I have mastered the art of turning left and like Danica, all of my trips end with me hitting something. HA!

Watch a larger version on YouTube.

If you're not familiar with the Jeep reference Mom made, there's a video showing highlights of the police chase here in Kansas City on Monday. And if you are TRULY bored, KSHB has uploaded the entire 30 minute chase here. GO!

Remember, you can't take it with you, but you can lick it so no one else can take it when you're gone.

Until Later,
Avery
