The Next Big Thing

I ended the last post without even showing all the pictures from that one day but with the new camera, Dad kind of went overboard. No surprise there right?

Gibson just released its Top 50 Guitarist of All Time list and I was a little disappointed not to make it. Some probably thought I was a long shot but considering I've only been whailing wailing on my axe since the end of February, I'm pretty darn good. There's nothing I can't do on that guitar - I can make it count to four, make cat sounds or even just play music. Let's see Pete Townshend do all that!

I like music so much that I've been considering starting a band but I'm not sure if I should go the one-man-band route and risk looking like this or put an ad in Rolling Stone magazine: Wanted - Drummer willing to do anything to make it. (You Kiss/Family Guy fans will get that one) And of course, after this performance by Dad, I know who is NOT in line for lead vocals. I still get chills.

So I've begun to notice that when I go near my sister Parker, rather than let me get too close, she goes on the "offensive" by giving me kisses which she knows I won't put up with for long. Pretty smart huh?

You know, while I really like my Stand & Groove and my Stroll Along Walker, sometimes it's nice just to sit down and read a good book. And I have so many books that I can go weeks without reading the same one twice which can give me enough time to forget how they end. Like, I totally forgot that in the end, the fox Sneaks and the ground hog Peaks. Sweet right?

Remember, you can't take it with you, but you can lick it so no one else can take it when you're gone.

Until Later,
