Two Sides of the Same Coin

On Sunday the 13th, we met Uncle Dave, Aunt Darty, Grandma & Grandpa Davenport for breakfast at First Watch (Shoppes at Corporate Woods.) I know what you thinking, "But Avery, you guys ate at First Watch yesterday." I know but that was Corinth Square and this SCW. Totally different. Well... not totally different... but SCW has this one awesome waiter that always brings my pancake out early... which is nice.

M&D had plans to attend an early morning concert on the 16th. 'Dad' and 'Early Morning' don't usually go well together so I was looking forward to seeing this all go down. But as per usual, when there's fun to be had, M&D ditch me. Whatevs. I got to go play at G&G D's and I got to SLEEP IN! Jealous M&D? To make the hand off, we met G&G D at J. Alexander's for dinner on the 15th.

So get this bizarro-ness: JA does NOT have a kids menu. So that means no grilled cheese and no mac n cheese. Where's the fable? So, I ordered a kid's sized plate of pasta but I was definitely eying (eying? that doesn't look right) GmaD's mashed potatoes. YUMMM! Also, if you're willing to make kid's sized plates of pasta ($4 btw) then why not just have a kid's menu?

I don't know if you've ever had the carrot cake at JA but if you have, you know why I look so eager! Double YUMM!

Remember, you can't take it with you, but you can lick it so no one else can take it when you're gone.

Until Later,
