Vuvuzela

On the morning of the 23rd, Dad and I had some breakfast and watched the first half of the US World Cup game against Algeria. When the US scored the disallowed goal below, Dad yelled, "YES!" I thought he was mad at me for not eating my oatmeal fast enough or something so of course, my face scrunched all up and the tears started. Nice work Dad!

At halftime Dad rushed me over to Miss Anne's where we did NOT get to see Landon Donovan score the winning goal in the 91'. Thanks again Dad!

After school, I was playing with M&D, roaming back and forth between the family room and kitchen when I found the Dora the Explorer DVD I got for my birthday. Of course, M&D don't let me watch DVDs yet but I found it was just as fun (probably) to use it to scoot around with.

I also got to open my new Book-of-the-month book and it is totally awesome. It's Sandra Boynton's (my favorite author) book Doggies.

For dinner I had burgers and sugar snap peas with M&D. Wait, what's that on my shirt?

Computer, zoom in and enhance:

HA! It's a pea! Peas on shirts, so popular (here & here.) The only thing missing is some witty play on word phrase.

After dinner, Grandma & Grandpa Davenport stopped by for a visit. GpaD came to help Dad cut down a branch that got hit by lightning (scary right?) and I think GmaD came by to see if the rumors of me walking were true. (they are totally true and if I can get the information super web to work properly, I'll prove it to you!)

Remember, you can't take it with you, but you can lick it so no one else can take it when you're gone.

Until Later,
Avery
