Wedding March

Okay, I'll pick up the action on Friday night (the 18th.) First of all, I got a new green dress so right off that bat that's pretty awesome. First was a trip to Country Club Christian Church for a rehersal rehearsal of Aunt Abby & Uncle Scott's ceremony. I was surprised how quiet it was so I broke the ice by talking (quite loudly) through the whole event.

Next we went to the rehearsal dinner at Cafe Trio. Originally I thought we'd just be rehearsing dinner but we ended up actually eating so I'm not totally sure what the deal was. Also, it was delicious. I had... MAC N CHEESE! But this was fancy MNC. First of all it was baked and baked cheese is awesome. Also it had some thick cut bacon and tomatoes and some fancy cheese I've never heard of. I'm willing to bet it wasn't even a powder! YUM!

On Saturday dad took me over to Nordstrom where Mom, AA and the rest of the girls were getting their makeup done. All of the girls got special sweatshirts for the big day; AA's was white and the rest of the wedding party's were pink. Since I was part of the WP, I totally got my own sweatshirt and it even had my name on it.

After Nordy, M&D and I ran some errands and then headed home. Dad and I took naps and while we were asleep, Mom headed over to the church to get ready. Dad tried to let me sleep as late as possible but he actually let me go too long because we were a hair late for pictures. I know, you're shocked right? Once all the pics were taken, we had some time to kill before the ceremony started. Dad and I spent a little bit of the time practicing walking down the aisle. You see, I was the flower girl and it meant a lot for me to walk down instead of getting carried down. Also, I was totally nervous. And as it turns out, my nerves got the best of me because for the real deal, I tripped and fell half way down. No worries though, Dad scooped me up and we headed to our seats with Uncle Dave, Aunt Darty, Grandma & Grandpa Davenport.

After the wedding, I ditched M&D and went over to the reception with UD, AD, G&G D. When we got there, we found a table and sat with the Ludlows (not seen here.) I was hoping to play with my future GAL pal Gertrude Ann Ludlow but Aunt Patty & Uncle Stu said I had to wait a few more weeks. BOO! Also, I'm not 100% on the name Gertrude Ann but AP & US are staying tight lipped on her real name so she'll be GAL until I hear otherwise.

All in all, the night was pretty awesome. Did I mention I had THREE pieces of cake? Hey, I was as surprised as you are that Dad let me keep eating it but I'm sure he figured since I was going home with G&G D, it wouldn't be his problem anyway. Real mature Dad!

I'll leave you with a few other pics from the par-tay. Careful, there are a lot of white people dancing in these pics so if you're easily nauseated, you better stop here.

Remember, you can't take it with you, but you can lick it so no one else can take it when you're gone.

Until Later,
Avery
