Batteries Not Included

Miss Anne was on vacation the week of the 28th so I got to go over to Grandma & Grandpa Herbert's everyday. Sweet!

As per usual, my day with GmaH was packed with fun. We went over to Hallmark to shop for some cards (I found a few with dogs on them which of course, I really liked.) Jane Lehan came over to drop off a wedding gift for Aunt Abby & Uncle Scott. I enjoyed hearing how Mom used to babysit JL's kids back in the olden days. Crazy! I also got to spend some time with AA & US. They told me all about their honeymoon to Mexico. I can't wait until I get to go on my own honeymoon but Dad says I have to wait 30 more years! Jeesh!

The afternoon is always bittersweet when I'm at the H's. It's sweet because I know GpaH will be coming home soon and who doesn't love to play with GpaH? It's bitter because it also means Mom's coming to get me soon. BOO! (I still love you though Mom!)

When I got home from G&G H's I got to play with some new toys that M&D picked up for me while at Babies R Us a few days prior. In the one pictured above, I have to figure out how to get these little animals out of their hiding spots. #3 is a Panda Bear and his hiding spot isn't very good. He's right in the middle and all I have to do is push the big red button. I'll be honest, I've totally mastered #3. The rest of them are a little trickier but I'll best them yet.

Do I look like a big kid here or what? Shirt (not a onesie), Shorts (not bloomers) and Shoes (complete with socks.) I feel like I could head off to kindergarden (I spelled it right on my second try but according to Merriam Webster the origin is German, from Kinder children + Garten garden. So essentially I spelled it as the etymology would suggest anyway.) kindergarten. I HATE SPELLING! Hmm, maybe I'm not ready for kindergarten after all.

Check this out: Mom found an old Cookie Monster (old enough the eyes have tinted a bit yellow... or maybe he's just jaundice.) that AA gave her as a gift. You don't think M&D just push things on me that THEY like rather than letting me decide what I like do you? Hmmm.

Remember, you can't take it with you, but you can lick it so no one else can take it when you're gone.

Until Later,
Avery
