Catch Me If You Can

Before I get in to this post, I want to welcome Madeline Jean (phew, I was getting worried that Gertrude Ann might stick) into the world and say congratulations to the Ludlows.

Okay, now back to mid July! The 14th was Grandma Davenport's __ Birthday! As a surprise, her three brothers (Great Uncles Jim, Dick & Dale) flew in for the day. I missed the big surprise at the Yard House because I was at Miss Anne's but I did make it for dinner at J. Gilbert's.

As a birthday present to GmaD, I started acting unruly in my highchair so she'd get to take me out and "calm me down." I mean, I was totally faking it but M&D fell for it hook, line & sinker!

Ever since I started walking, keeping me in one spot AND happy has, admittedly, not been easy. Fortunately Grandpa Davenport was there to take me for a walk.

Eventually Dad was forced to do some actual parenting himself for which he was rewarded with a dirty diaper, HA!

As part of the kid's meal I got FREE ICE CREAM. Sweet! Usually you have to go low budged for that (think Jason's Deli or DQ) but I got some here too... and it was delicious!

As 8:45 rolled around I considered the prospect of taking a nap on the table but as I laid down my head I saw GUD down at the end of the table doing the same thing. Well that got me laughing which completely reinvigorated me!

I get the sneaking suspicion that GpaD wants me to go to college because he keeps sneaking me money for my piggy bank. Aunt Darty doesn't like it when someone else gets GpaD's dolla dolla billz though so she thought she'd pick my pocket. Guess what AD, I may have been born at night but not last night. (See Gmad, that's how that's supposed to go!)

Remember, you can't take it with you, but you can lick it so no one else can take it when you're gone.

Until Later,
