Color Wheel of Fortune Cookie

I've never been a big TV watcher but since it started to grab my attention more and more (though usually it was just commercials with music or cartoons), Mom & Dad decided not to watch it with me around. Of course, I didn't really care but this meant M&D had to find something more to do after work (you know, aside from being responsible parents. Anyone buying that?) Naturally I've been the benefactor because it means more playing with me! It also means we're not tied to being inside. I LOVE being outside and I think I may be converting M&D because now-a-days we spend time outside every afternoon. They grab some music and a few books and we head out.

This particular afternoon (8/11) the music was courtesy of Pandora on Dad's phone. Dad was playing on his phone and in a moment very unlike Dad, he showed me how the forward facing camera works. It's pretty sweet because I can see myself like it's a mirror but then it can take pictures too. I thought it was pretty awesome!

Dad decided to see what happens when Pandora is running and he tries to take video. It ends up providing a background track for the video which is kinda cool. He also happened to catch me trying to sit on the stoop which clearly requires a three foot runway. Also, cement that sits in the sun all day gets HOT!

Of course, as the sun goes down the bugs come up so we headed inside and did some classic playing; you know, like book readin' and Fort. You may notice the child proofing M&D have done. Something about not wanting me to yank on dangling electrical cords. Whatevs.

On the 12th, Mom was going to an invitation only fashion show at a new store called Altar. Aunt Abby was going as Mom's "plus one" so she stopped over before they left. But AA is on my 'full diaper' list because she made fun of my outfit. She said it didn't match! I don't know about you, but where I come from yellow (my shirt) and yellow-green (my shorts) are analogous colors which provides my outfit "proper color harmony."

After the AA debacle, Dad and I headed over to Grandma & Grandpa Davenport's to pick them up for dinner. We ate at Master Wok where I had some delicious fried rice (and maybe a Goldfish appetizer; not on the menu.) My fortune cookie read "If you tell the truth you don't have to remember anything." Oh yeah, tell that to someone who's trying to blog two weeks in arrears!

After dinner we went back to G&G D's for some playing then headed home.

Remember, you can't take it with you, but you can lick it so no one else can take it when you're gone.

Until Later,
Avery
