Throwback Game

On Friday July 16th, Aunt Darty came over after work. YEA!

As if having AD over wasn't reason enough for me to be excited, I was also stoked that the TV was on. You see, Mom and Dad have decided to stop watching TV... while I'm awake. It's gotta be tough to cram in their requisite 60 hours a week (my estimate) when they're only watching TV after about 9:00pm. Of course, maybe that's why I hear them come to bed at 1:00 and 2:00 am so often. So sad!

See, I used to have this fun (relative) game I'd play while writing these posts. Any time there was a picture with the TV on in the background, I'd try to guess what M&D were watching.

So for old time's sake, let's play shall we? Okay, It was about 4:30 on a Friday in mid July. You can see from the first pic that it was ESPN so that helps narrow things down quite a bit. My first guess is World Cup Soccer but let's see if we can get any help from the ESPN Bottom Line. Computer, Zoom in and enhance

Ah, The Open Championship at St. Andrews was going on and ESPN was airing the whole tournament. I'll change my guess to golf. Unfortunately, thanks to M&D's new policy I missed most of The Open this year which stinks because I really enjoyed it last year (remember my collage of bad golf outfits?)

Outside of coming to play with me, AD was over because she was going with Aunt Kelly, M&D to the Kansas City Explorers tennis match, stopping first to pick up M&D then on to AK's. Each (or most) of the World Team Tennis clubs have touring professionals on their team and the KCE have the Brian Brothers, the world's #2 doubles team. Sweet!

I really enjoy watching tennis, especially when it's NOT M&D playing. Oh but what's that? I don't get to go? Where's the fable?

Well, I crammed in some more playing with AD before Grandma Davenport came to get me for the night. Yea! I'm sure tennis was fun but G&G D totally spoil me so I'll bet I still had more fun.

Remember, you can't take it with you, but you can lick it so no one else can take it when you're gone.

Until Later,
Avery
