Game Nap Time

Mom had to work for JP Morgan on Saturday the 4th and was gone before Dad and I woke up. However we did get up in time to have breakfast with Aunt Darcy, Grandma & Grandpa Davenport at First Watch Shoppes at Corporate Woods. I had some poached eggs and probably whatever I wanted off of GmaD's plate. Awesome!

After breakfast AD, Dad and I hitched a ride with Gmad so we could do some shopping for GpaD's birthday. We made a quick stop at Bed, Bath & Beyond then headed back to G&G D's for some emergency furniture moving - wait what? G&G D got a call that their new furniture could be delivered so Uncle Dave, Dad and GpaD sprung into action. I was pretty stoked too because this gave me a huge play room.
You can't really tell from these pics but I was just running around
the coffee table even though I had the whole rest of the room to
play in.
Before Dad and I headed home to watch the Kansas State season & home opener (notice my purple track outfit) Dad offered to help GmaD with a little project... that involved bring the extension ladder INTO THE HOUSE. Seeing Dad climbing up and down that ladder in flip flops was.... entertaining to say the least.
I didn't want him to fall or anything but I did catch myself wondering how many piggy banks Dad's life insurance policy would fill up.
I did as much playing with G&G D as I could but with the Cats game starting at 2:30, we had to head out shortly after 2:00. I had so much fun with G&G D that I fell asleep in the car on the way home and missed the vast majority of the game. Doh!

After the game Dad and I did tons of playing and before I knew it, he was rounding me up for a bath. This made me pretty sad for two reasons: 1. Dad being the sole bather is always nerve racking and 2. This meant I'd go to bed without seeing Mom. Boo! But Mom made it home mid-bath which was awesome. Seeing Mom before bed was all I needed to sleep like a rock. ZZZZzzzz.

Speaking of ZZZs, I probably should have gone to bed after the Raised on Promises post but decided to cram in a second post since I'm so far behind. Now I'm crazy tired so don't hold your breath for a third post today!

Remember, you can't take it with you, but you can lick it so no one else can take it when you're gone.

Until Later,
Avery
