Cider House Mill Rules

Dad went to the NASCAR races the weekend of the 2nd & 3rd So Mom and I were on our own. On Sunday Mom and I headed down to the Louisburg Cider Mill with Grandma Herbert. I was pretty excited to see how they make the cider and Mom seemed pretty excited about some sort of cider donuts.
Unbeknownst to us, that weekend was also the last weekend of Ciderfest which meant it was incredibly busy. Grandma and I were still able to see how the cider was made but the line for the cider donuts was too long so we missed out there.
In addition to a cider mill there was a Werewolf Corn Maze, Craft Fair, Live Music, a Picnic Area, Hayrides, Pony Rides, Wagon Rides, a Moonwalk, Giant slide, Pancake Breakfast and Bar-B-Que Dinner, there was also a Huge Pumpkin Patch. There were so many pumpkins that it made it extremely hard to choose one. I mean, if I understand our traditions correctly, this thing has to last until Christmas. I think I inherited my Mom's inability to make decisions though... so we left without a pumpkin and ending up getting one at Target.

We may not have gotten donuts but we did get some free apples. And I saw so many people eating them I figured out how to do it too.
Oh, have you noticed how I have ANOTHER gash on my head? Whoa, I think I need to start being more careful.

Dad got home from white-trash fest just before I went to bed Sunday night and he brought a surprise with him - Grandpa Davenport!
Remember, you can't take it with you, but you can lick it so no one else can take it when you're gone.

Until Later,
