Face Book Plant

September 17th was... interesting to say the least. I got into a little scuffle with my buddy Logan and it ended with me getting a little "patio rash."
What's odd is that my face really doesn't look too horrible here but as it begins to scab it actually starts to look worse. STAY TUNED!

And as if I didn't see this coming, my disfigured face gave Mom even more reason to take some pictures but I wasn't too thrilled at the prospect of having this look immortalized so I did what I could to block. Mom still got the picture but I was able to get a sticky finger on the lens causing blurry pictures for the next few days. I'll call it a partial victory.
For instance, you'd normally be able to read that I'm supposed to put Cheerios in the empty purple circles but I've gone ahead and made that difficult. I win?

Dad magically showed up over night and on the morning of the 18th, we had breakfast with Grandma & Grandpa Davenport at First Watch Shoppes at Corporate Woods. I know I told you my face started to look worse over time but this is a bit much eh? Dad let me dip some breakfast potatoes in ketchup so half of this is probably ketchup. Probably.
I decided breakfast was over and let everyone know it so GmaD took me outside while GpaD took care of the bill (thanks!) and M&D gathered my belongings. Man, do I have it good or what? I don't know if you can see in the picture above but I started playing with a Splenda packet and coffee creamer and HAD to take them outside with me. I did go ahead and put down the Splenda but only when GpaD made me an offer I couldn't refuse.
To make a donation to my tricycle college fund, I had to sacrifice my Splenda but if you want my creamer, you'll have to pull it from my cold dead hot sticky hand.

We had a nice afternoon just chillin' (and of course nappin' for Dad and me) but a little before 5:00 we had work to do so we snapped into action. Paper Mill Designs had a booth at a wedding show the next day so Dad and I tagged along with Mom to help set up. I was pretty stoked that I got hired but as I started to brainstorm how I was gonna spend my first paycheck, Dad informed me that PMD only pays in Hugs & Kisses - DOH!
After I heard how sub-par my wage would be, I decided to go on strike and just play with my stroller. The floor was so slick that I could push it around even though the wheels were locked. HA - I WIN!

I know this is a blog about me but I thought this was a pretty darn cute picture of my sister Penny.  That bear is mine but she shares all of her toys with me so it's only fair that I share mine with her.  So cute!
On Sunday morning the 19th, Mom was gone by the time Dad and I got up but it worked out okay because we were able to have breakfast with G&G D at Mimi's. Can you believe our schedules worked out like that? Crazy right!
After breakfast G&G D mentioned they needed to make a trip to Target and since there's always SOMETHING we need there, we joined them. I don't remember everything on the list but I feel like Dad got some more socks for me, you know, instead of doing laundry. Classic Dad!

When Mom got home from working the wedding show she noticed we were both wearing our pink shoes with um... I guess I'll call it frill. Is that a word? Computer, zoom in and enhance:
I was in for a fun surprise later because my new cousin Ella was in town from Dallas so Dad and I headed over to Greats Aunt Nancy & Uncle John's house. Ella is SO little. I'm finally old enough to be doin' stuff and now I'm getting all of these tiny friends (also here and here) and I'm gonna have to wait a year before THEY are doin' stuff. BOO!
Once everyone figured out that I could follow directions and "give" stuff to Ella, it was an instant party trick.
After I successfully woke Ella up (with the help of a few camera flashes) she got out to play with us. Here she is playing "Lay on back with hands in fists;" an old school fave.
And here she is playing "Steal my Grandma" -- Hey wait just a minute!
Fortunately my bribe of baby wipes worked and I got to share GmaD while she played a dual role along with Great Aunt Mimi.
And just to show Ella there were no hard feelings, I gave her a little kiss on the cheek.

Here's Blogger's "Blog of Note" for October 5th, 2010. The blog is called Cat Chat and while I did not read one word of this blog I will leave you with this teaser. Go ahead, try and resist checking it out!

Remember, you can't take it with you, but you can lick it so no one else can take it when you're gone.

Until Later,
Avery
