Must See Stache

September 24th was a Friday and while it stinks that Mom had to go to work, it meant I got to spend the day with Grandma Herbert. The days I spend with GmaH are always awesome and while I love Mom, I'm usually kinda bummed when she shows up but only because it means I have to go home. But before we left that day G&G H gave me a special gift.
This is the dress GmaH got me for my Dedication that weekend so of course, I had to try it on. The thing is, I don't mind getting dressed... once a day. And since I had already gotten dressed that day, this round didn't go over so well. The upside was that once I got the dress off, I escaped and got to run around and play half-naked.
Of course, I'm a modest girl so I had to do some redacting. I know, I know, you can still see my belly button (a word I can say) which is still pretty racy but I figure it's not any worse than my swim suit from a few weeks back. Eventually we had to leave but not before I have G&G H a big hug.

That night Mom, Dad and I met Aunt Darcy, Uncle Dave, Uncle Tim, Aunt Kelly, Grandma & Grandpa Davenport over at the Kaczmarczyk's so we could all play with cousin Ella.
Shortly after we got there I sat with AD and we played with a totally sweet lid to a soda bottle. Those things are FUN!
I did some snuggling with GpaD to get my second wind and then I was back in the game with some more playing.
Since there was so much baby talk, someone broke out some old pictures, most of which were of Uncle Jeff when he was about Ella's age. In this picture of one of those pictures you can see Uncle Jeff, Great Aunt Nancy, Great Uncle John, Great Uncle John's 'Stache and a last minute PhotoBomb by my Dad when he was about my age. Fun huh?!?!
I also found this picture of my Great Grandpa Davenport from one of his birthday parties. Now I think we know where Dad's penchant for witty T-Shirts comes from.

A bit later, GpaD and AD BOTH made contributions to my anniversary present for M&D college fund.
Five points if you can guess who I asked to hold onto the money for me
We wrapped up the night with a family game of Pictionary. It was Me, Mom, GmaD & GAN vs AD, AK & Tia Emily vs Dad, UT & UJ. I'm happy to say that my team kicked butt and took names!

Remember, you can't take it with you, but you can lick it so no one else can take it when you're gone.

Until Later,
Avery
