Outside the Lines

This is kind of a difficult time of year because it can be 50 when I wake up but 80 when I get home from school. I think the big swings in temperature confuse my old man because he seems to spend more time staring into my closet looking confused. I think he did alright on the 23rd.
Now that I'm getting older I wanna do my part to help out around the house. Mom and Dad won't let me near the dishwasher (like knives are so dangerous) so I've volunteered to be the one that gives my sisters their cookies (a word I can say) when they get into their beds.
And sometimes my kid Emma Darcy like to help out too.

Dad ended up picking me up from Miss Anne's and we went directly to get his allergy shot... with Aunt Darcy! AD and I love to color but the allergy peeps have 2000 crayons (approximately) which makes it difficult for me to pick a color. How was I supposed to know that pumpkins aren't blue.

These days when I see people I haven't seen in awhile, I feel obligated to show them all the tricks I know. You know, a cow says "moo", a lion says "roar", evil bunny face; the classics. Fortunately the peeps at allergy shots are pretty easily impressed, as I find most people are and got a kick out of my tricks. I'll tell ya though, it's a LOT of pressure to have to keep coming up with new ones.
Before we left I gave AD a big hug to thank her for helping me color that pumpkin. We're a great team because our talents compliment one another so well. Like how she uses the appropriate colors and stays within the lines and how I'm not bound by any of those silly rules.

Remember, you can't take it with you, but you can lick it so no one else can take it when you're gone.

Until Later,
