Smell Like a Monster

Mom had a little boutique show at Altar Bridal (as seen here) so she headed out shortly after I got up which left Dad and me to our own devices. We had a late breakfast which lead to a late lunch and it actually got late enough that Mom was able to join us. We decided to try Blanc Burgers and Bottles (though not the kind of bottles I was expecting.) M&D have been meaning to try Blanc for awhile but they keep thinking about it on Friday evenings and... that's not probably not a good idea. But apparently Saturday afternoon between lunch and dinner seemed the perfect time.
Apple (giant, giant apple)
Dad and I got there a little early so we took a walk around Mission Farms. I find it interesting that something dubbed "farms" attracts so many hip and modern shops and restaurants. Odd right? Also, some lady that was eating outside struck up a conversation with us. "How old is she" (like I wasn't even there -- geesh!) Then she drops this on us, "A son is son 'til he takes a wife; a daughter is a daughter all of her life." Yikes, I'm not sure if there is a good way to interpret that. How nice of her to share. On a happier note, the Make a Wish foundation was having an event and Applebee's was catering - hence the big apple.
After we made the rounds we found a bench but I wasn't in the mood to sit. I wanted to go to Natasha's for some pastries, desserts or ice cream but I think Dad was scared of the spiders hanging from the sign. Eventually the lure of Siren's cookie was too much for Dad and we picked up dessert. Anyway, I highly recommend the hot dog at Blanc Burger and pretty much any of the sides because they come in mini shopping carts and small things are cute! Our next stop was to Sam's Club where the cart's are HUGE. Nice contrast M&D!

Sunday the 26th was my Dedication at Country Club Christian Church and we even made the newsletter. My buddy Maddie was there with her family to get Dedicated too.
You may notice that I don't look too thrilled but it's only because I took a header on the way into the church. It's probably for the best too because the patio burn on my face was almost gone so I was due for a new scab anyway.

After church, we had the families over for brunch. Mom made this egg casserole that was a pretty huge hit but it makes me wonder why in my 18 months I've never had it before. Holding out on me Mom? NOT COOL!
I had a lot of fun at brunch and it wasn't even at First Watch. Crazy right?

Also, New Trick: Fish Lips.

I'll leave you with this: It's awesome!

Remember, you can't take it with you, but you can lick it so no one else can take it when you're gone.

Until Later,
Avery

  1. Hi Avery! We have matching boo-boos on our foreheads now. Mom and Dad don't even know where I got mine....I'm learning to be sneaky! Margot and I want to get together soon. We'll make sure our people talk to your people.
