Happy Birthday, Allegedly

On Wednesday the 3rd, we met Aunt Darcy, Grandma & Grandpa Davenport at Salty Iguana to celebrate Mom's birthday a little early. Wait, what's this? We can celebrate birthdays early now? Hey guess what, I'm celebrating my 2nd birthday this weekend. Sweet, free cupcakes!
Since I helped Mom open not only her gifts but her cards, I felt that gave me the right to draw in one of her cards too. I was only gonna write "Happy Birthday" but Dad decided I'd probably be better to draw on the kids menu instead.
I'm getting older now so perhaps I should start paying attention to the "activities" these kids menus have for me. Let's take a look:
First off is KU IQ. Well I already know the recipe for ice which puts me at the head of the class at the University of Kansas. We'll say I tested out of that one.Next Up is the Hoop Maze. Didn't even have to lift my crayon. Hoop Maze beat!Last up was the Jersey Jumble. Ball, Hoops, Meat, Shoot, Pass, Dunk. Of course, I know the third one is supposed to be Team but if the jumble is already a word, I think that's a Fail.

Dad forgot to through one of my sippie cups in the diaper bag so I got to drink out of the big cup with a straw. I REALLY enjoy this (can you tell?) but it seems Dad goes out of his way to prevent it from happening. It may be because I also like to hold the cup and I still tip it all the way like it's a sippie cup... and water goes all over me. Dad didn't let me hold it this time but I was thirsty and using the straw is still fun so I placated him.

When GpaD got his wallet out to pay (THANKS GPAD!) he decided to make a donation to my Trike college fund. When he broke out that dollar bill I knew just what to do; I took it and gave it to Mom. Then I took some advice AD gave me and asked for MORE. I think GpaD loved me too much to say no so he gave me another one. MORE. And GpaD gave me a third dollar - JACK POT!

After we were done eating I got a little restless and "asked" to get out of my highchair. Mom obliged and I immediately went to work playing with the belt clip. The 'kid safety' industry is a big fan of these three pronged clips and I like to play with them every chance I get. But then I caught a glimpse of the bottom of the highchair and... I may need to find something else to occupy myself.
Fortunately GmaD was there with a purse full of stuff that aren't toys to keep me entertained.

That was the third and the only picture I have from the fourth is the one below so it must have been a slow day. I've discovered that I like to put blankets on myself (and my baby Emma Darcy) though I'm not too good at spreading them out so they kinda just bunch up. Still, it's fun.
And now I can cross that day off my list. Sweet!

Remember, you can't take it with you, but you can lick it so no one else can take it when you're gone.

Until Later,
