Spooky Scary

Grandma Herbert came home Thursday night the 28th. In fact, Mom and I actually went to pick her up from the airport because Grandpa Herbert was feeling a little under the weather. GmaH had spent the last two weeks in California with my cousins but got home just in time to take care of me on her regular Friday.
GmaH and I were thinking about going to the library which we love but decided to go check out the giant Barnes & Noble at the mall so we could have lunch with Aunt Abby. That BN is two stories and has a pretty awesome kids section. The book I'm reading above is Haunted House by Roger Priddy. Those eyes peak through every page which is kinda fun. Also, a ghost says, "Boo!"
AHHH! - Halloween books are scary!
I had a lot of fun just mosying moseying around and came across this big fella. I have an affinity towards frogs so this guy caught my eye. I'm pretty sure he's from the Frog and Toad series of books though I'm not sure if this is the frog or the toad.
At one point we ran across this Cookie Monster and I decided to read him Another Monster at the End of This Book. SPOILER ALERT: In the end, there's a monster.

After BN we headed over to Nordstrom to see AA and get some lunch at Nordstrom Cafe. I think NC is to lunch what First Watch is to brunch. But I don't think FW has an answer to NC's Cookie Royale. Score one for NC!
After lunch we headed over to the American Girl store. I know I'm supposed to love this stuff, and maybe I'll get there but on this trip the lady that greeted us at the door was MISSING TEETH. Nice first impression...

After AG we headed home. And I do mean my home, not GmaH's. With GpaH not feeling 100%, we decided to keep a little distance. When we got home, I took a nap but I had so much fun in the morning that it went a little long and GmaH was gone when I woke up. The rest of the night paled in comparison to the morning of fun I had. The highlight was my bath, afterwhich M&D tried on my first Francis Sporting Goods T-shirt. It's an adult small but M&D thought it might make for a good night shirt. I agree with them... but probably not for a little while yet.

Remember, you can't take it with you, but you can lick it so no one else can take it when you're gone.

Until Later,
Avery
