Where's Andy Now

I meant to mention this as an Editor's Note at the end of the last post but forgot. On the morning of the 16th, Maddie's parents ran a half marathon and both set personal bests (congrats!) That's 13.1 miles which is almost the exact distance from our house to theirs... which we drove that afternoon... during which I'm pretty sure I saw Dad break a sweat. Oh Maddie, we live such parralell paralell parralel paralel parallel (looked it up) lives don't we?

On the morning of the 17th Mom, Dad and I met Amanda and Andy for breakfast at First Watch College & Metcalf Plaza... wait, something's not right. Oh, that's right, THAT FW is actually a Le Peep. Also, do you have any idea how much Google Webbing I had to do to find the name of that shopping center. College & Metcalf Plaza... someone had their creative hat on, eh? Oh, for those of you not in KC, that's located at the Northwest corner of College Blvd and Metcalf Ave. Clever right?
Evil Bunny Face -- LIVE!
I really enjoyed breakfast with Amanda and Andy and it was clear we don't spend enough time with them. We barely had time to eat because there was so much catching up to do. I'm not sure Mom took a breath the entire breakfast. Of course, I asked Dad if we could go for a little walk after we ate so maybe I missed something.

It being a Sunday, we just chilled most of the afternoon. We watched the Chiefs blow a 10 point 4th quarter lead to the Texans who scored 21 points in the 4th. Classic Chiefs.
While the Chiefs were busy yanking defeat from the jaws of victory, Mom was busy playing a little defense of her own. See, I REALLY enjoy watching M&D work on their computers. In fact, I like to get as close as possible and since they won't let me touch the keyboard, I like to stop them from touching it either. It's REALLY fun!

After my nap and an early bath we met Grandma & Grandpa Davenport for dinner at Jack Stack. Yum! I felt I did pretty well during dinner but got a little restless near the end. You're shocked right? GpaD volunteered to play with me while everyone else finished up dinner.
While I was playing with him I noticed a lemon on the table and decided to try it. It was... not good.

While GpaD had his wallet out to pay for dinner (thanks GpaD!) he decided I needed five bucks for my Retro Kitchen Set college fund.
But after handing the dough over to Dad, something else caught my eye. I'm not sure what it was but I have a feeling Aunt Darcy can help me figure out how to use it...
Does anyone else hear angels singing...?

Editor's Note: Wheres-Andy-Now is a blog by Travel Writer Andrew Bender. Alternative title: Missing Andy is a UK band which you can find on MySpace (and no, that's not a typo.) I assume their Friendster page is under construction.

Remember, you can't take it with you, but you can lick it so no one else can take it when you're gone.

Until Later,
Avery
