Middle C

On Monday the 22nd, Dad went to play cards so it was just Mom and me hanging with my sisters... or so I thought. TWIST! Aunt Abby came over to play, I assume because I am awesome. Oh please, don't give me that look, you know it's true.
I would LOVE to tell you what's going on in the pic above but for the life of me I don't remember. Here are a few hypotheses:

  • I told Aunt Abby there was an iPHONE UNDER THE STAND & GROOVE (read that part like you're Oprah)
  • I told Aunt Abby I lost a contact lens
  • I told Aunt Abby I hid the complete series (all 20 episodes) of Rags to Riches
  • I told Aunt Abby it was the entrance to Narnia
If you have other ideas, feel free to leave a comment. Best comment will win a special surprise!

When Grandma Herbert came over to play as well, I knew something was up. Notice the spools of red and green thread in my hand? (hint: not the hand with Purple Bear in it.) AA & GmaH came over so we could make some Advent Calendars. Sweet! Last year Christmas snuck up on me but this year I can keep a track on it and see it coming. I WIN!

But since all work and no play makes Avery a dull girl, we squeezed in some playing as well.
I am quite a pianist these days so with GmaH's assistance I decided to do a little teaching myself. PB has been BEGGING me for piano lessons but I've had pretty limited patience recently so I've been putting it off. But I knew with GmaH's help that I could be a successful teacher. We all have our work cut out for us though because PB is all thumbs - seriously, she doesn't have any fingers.

That night was pretty awesome and I'm happy to say our Advent calendars are done, hung and currently in action... and since I'm about two weeks behind you'll get to see them just before Christmas. I'm the worst.

Remember, you can't take it with you, but you can lick it so no one else can take it when you're gone.

Until Later,
