Strong Start

When we woke up on the morning of 1.1.11, Mom & Dad said they couldn't take it any more and decided to break our new year's resolution with a trip to... KRISPY KREME! For those of you with self respect, KK is a donut shop famous for creating donuts via in house assembly lines. Ah, Henry Ford's TRUE dream is finalized realized. I think this was my first donut and while it tasted okay, I didn't like how messy it was. Perhaps a fork next time...YUM!

As you may recall, parades have been added to the list of items I'm allowed to watch on TV and I guess there's a doozie at the first of each year.
I was digging the parade for a bit but eventually it got a little old. Tom McMahon noticed the pattern too...

After finding the parade a bit redundant I reverted back to some good ol' fashioned entertainment. Still, I was pretty happy when we got to watching football. At least it made sense for the bands to be THERE!

Despite there being some good football on, M&D and I jumped when Grandma & Grandpa Davenport invited us to dinner at Salty Iguana with Uncle Dave and Aunt Darcy.

So to recap: Donuts, Parade, Books, "Drive In" Football Games and Dinner with UD, AD, G&G D. All in all, a great start to the new year!

Remember, you can't take it with you, but you can lick it so no one else can take it when you're gone.

Until Later,
Avery
