The Hills are Alive

On Saturday morning I picked up right where I left on Friday night. Dad put the pink iPod (or as I like to call it, "Avery's go phone") in the docking station to charge but left it there overnight and, well, it was within my reach. I mean, it was just sitting there with the backlight on, calling to me like a beacon. So I snatched it and played with it most of the morning until I "lost" it. Though personally I suspect my father has stashed it away somewhere. Well played old man.

During one of my afternoon diaper changes, I asked Mom if I could wear my jammies and she obliged. And since I lost my go phone hours prior, I grabbed a magazine and did some reading with Mom.

For dinner we had a little turkey chili and I LOVED IT. YUM!

Yesterday was Superbowl Sunday and Dad had the pregame show on about seven hours before kick-off. I had enough when I saw Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler trying on wigs for some reason and decided to do a little reading.

For the game, M&D invited the Ludlows, Mullens and Davenports over to root on the Packers (or just against Ben Roethlisberger - you know, whatever.)

Aunt Darcy brought over her iPad (YES!) and you might think we were watching the game on it but it was mostly just pictures and videos of me. What can I say, I fascinate myself.

At just a hair over six months old, Maddie is starting to be pretty entertaining. She was all smiles and even played with a few of my toys.

Maddie took a break from the game to snack on her dad's hat. Hmm, looks pretty good... you know MY Dad has a lot of hats around here...

Maddie had to get home to go to bed so I came over to say goodbye and thank her for stopping by.

We had a pretty awesome spread for the game and despite all the chips and dips, I think my favorite part were the cherry tomatoes from the veggie try. I estimate that I had about 200... but that's a pretty rough estimate.

Since seats were gonna be at a premium, Dad brought my chair down from upstairs and I am LOVING IT. Hello, it rocks AND swivels. I know, awesome right?

It was TOUGH splitting my attention between the game, the commercials and even more videos of me.

Oh, and choo choos of course.

Before bed, I had a late night snack and did some snuggling with Mom. It was a busy evening but I had a BLAST!

This morning, Dad and I were having a debate over what I was eating for breakfast. He decided to record it but when I saw the phone come out, I thought we were calling Grandma. Once I figured out that wasn't the case, the debate was on.

Remember, you can't take it with you, but you can lick it so no one else can take it when you're gone.

Until Later,

  1. Avery - where did you get your placemat? Seriously. Mom and Dad have not given us anything so cool. We are going to Mexico for 2 weeks on Saturday but want to hang out when we get back. Adios.
