Birthday of a Thousand Pieces

Even though my birthday was on the 1st, Mom & Dad withheld a few presents and cards that had been arriving until the 2nd since that's when my party was.
Paws off Penny - this one's mine!

When I wasn't busy opening presents, I was playing Queen and making M&D clean the house. (Mom was totally jealous of my crown. Dad wasn't but probably only because he's already donned it.)

When I woke up from my nap, I came down to see that Mom and Aunt Abby had been very busy decorating and baking. Sa-weet!

We ordered pizza for dinner and while most of the boys stayed inside to watch the Final Four, we enjoyed the weather outside.

Instead of a birthday cake, Mom & AA baked cup cake cones -- cup cakes baked into ice cream cones. They were pretty awesome.
We also had actual ice cream along with a full sundae bar. Two words for you: Magic Shell. Two more words for you: Oreo Cookies. Two more words for you: Strawberries & Bananas (in this instance the ampersand doesn't count -- just fyi.)

After dessert it was time to open presents. YEA! See if you can spot a theme...
Pink basketball goal. Hook Hook, Dunk Dunk.

New Shoes!

Phonics Bus! I wanted to get it out of the box and play with it but Dad said I couldn't because I had to open the rest of the presents. I did NOT like that idea.
So, Dad got demoted to pictures while Mom took over as birthday santa... and to try and console me.

In the mean time, Uncle Tim put together my BB Goal and Great Aunt Nancy was doing her best Jimmer from the perimeter.

When the second Final Four game started, Dad kicked on the TV but the last thing I needed was another distraction so he turned it off... after getting a look from Mom. Yikes!

Balloon bouquet - just within reach.

Goodnight Moon - The game: 29 Pieces

Mr.Potato Head: 13 Pieces

Toy Ice Cream Cones: 10 Pieces

Melissa & Doug Pizza Party: 63 Pieces

Circo Food Set: 90 Pieces

Lacing Beads: 30 Pieces

My birthday party was a complete blast I want to thank everyone that was able to stop by and those of you that couldn't but wished me a happy b-day none the less. Thanks for making #2 totally awesome!

Over the past two years you've seen the floor of our family room look pretty chaotic but wait until I get to playing with all of these!  You ain't seen nothin' yet!

Remember, you can't take it with you, but you can lick it so no one else can take it when you're gone.

Until Later,
Avery
