Rock On!

On Saturday, Apr 30th, Mom, Dad and I joined Grandma & Grandpa Davenport for dinner at Jose Peppers. GpaD's wallet must have been running out of room because he made a donation to my motorcycle College Fund. Sweet!
As dinner was wrapping up GmaD could see I was a little fidgety so she took me for a walk outside. When GpaD, M&D came out, we had made our way to this rock garden. Okay, so I'm not sure it's necessarily a garden but there are a lot of rocks and I liked picking through all of them.
When Dad finally talked me into dropping all the rocks I'd picked up, G&G D walked me to our car... oh, and I may have talked them into swinging me! Helllllooooo may new favorite thing!

Green Thumb

Prior to Mom and Dad going to NYC, I spent an above average amount of time with Grandma Davenport because Mom was busy printing and Dad and Grandpa Davenport were busy building Mom's booth. That was all fine by me though because there's nothing better than spending time with Gmas.

On 4/28, Mom was pretty excited about the royal wedding scheduled for the next day so she tried to get us in the groove by donning our own crowns. The Duchess has nothin' on us!

GmaD took Friday the 29th off and once again, I volunteered to keep her entertained.
M&D HATE gardening or really anything that could be classified as yard work so I try to get my fill anytime I'm with the grandparents. That Friday, GmaD and I planted some new flowers and she let me water 'em!
Then we went out back where I was hoping to catch a view of some birds at the bird feeder. For some reason they don't seem to respond well when I shout, "COME HERE BIRDIES!" I did find this guy though -- I'm not sure how he got petrified but perhaps that's what's got the other birds scared...

GmaD and I had lunch at Spin with GpaD and Dad. I love pizza pie and GmaD let me sip from her cup with my own straw. I also helped GmaD sip from her own straw as well. Am I helpful or what?

After Lunch, GmaD and I went to a park to do some playing. I am a hug fan of slides and this park had a couple of good ones!

For dinner, Aunt Darcy, G&G D and I met M&D at Cheddar's. Near the end I felt things were kind of dragging out and Dad could tell so he took me outside for a walk. Then he started swinging me around which I LOVED and everyone else came out in time to see it. I'm sorry about the sound but as you can see in the picture above, it was crazy windy.

After Dinner M&D and I headed over to Sam's Club for what I assumed would be an average trip but then we stumbled across this giant bean bag. I BEGGED M&D for it but they held their ground like champs!

Funny Bunnies

When I got up on Easter Sunday, Grandma Herbert was there bearing gifts but before we got to all that, I had some business to take care of. Apparently while I was asleep, a 6ft tall bunny "hid" (see above) eggs in our dining room. I guess he does it as an annoyance because Mom & Dad asked me to pick 'em all up. I mean, why do I have to clean up after this guy?
Also, Parker seemed more than willing to help me out but Dad kept telling her she wasn't allowed to clean up eggs. Where's the fable?
Okay, well, as it turned out the giant bunny left a preemptive thank you in the form of gift, snacks and don't tell anyone but some of the eggs were plastic AND HAD MONEY INSIDE! Sweet.

After I got done going through my bounty, GmaH and Mom got me dressed and we headed off to church where we met Aunt Abby (we missed Grandpa Herbert because he was home sick.)

After Church the four of us headed to Stroud's to meet Dad, Grandma & Grandpa Davenport, Aunt Darcy, Uncle Dave, Great Aunt Nancy, Great Uncle John, Aunt Kelly, Uncle Tim and a cadre of Zellers. Have I mentioned how awesome Easter is? Not only did a giant bunny bring me gifts and monies but G&G H, G&G D and GAN&GUJ all gave me gifts as well. SA-WEET!

Stroud's is pretty fantastic but when you have a party of 18 it can be a journey. To help keep me entertained AD and GpaD took me on a few walks while the rest of the group wrapped things up. I am SO thankful when peeps recgonize that I need a little get away and take me for walks, even if I don't say so at the time.

As the soializing wrapped up, Dad took a few more pics then it was back to the house to play with my new toys.

Perhaps my favorite (and certainly loudest) Easter gift is this Donald Duck Bunny. I've never seen a Duck Bunny before (which is probably why I can't understand a word he says) but it's still not as odd as a 6ft tall bunny...

I'm Not That Girl

April 24th was Easter and while I've uploaded several pictures of the day, I'm now too tired to do a full post. But I DO have a video taken just before bedtime...

House of Fabergé

On April 23rd Mom, Dad and I met Grandma & Grandpa Herbert for breakfast at First Watch Shoppes at Corporate Woods. As per usual, M&D opted out of this photo opp but they failed to take into account the reflective properties of glass. Ha, physics 1, M&D 0.
After breakfast, I went home with G&G H so we could play and M&D could do some prepping for their trip to NYC.
And since it was the day before Easter, we boiled some eggs and... wait for it... wait for it...
WE COLORED THEM! I vaguely remember doing this last year but I don't recall it being anywhere near this fun.
G&G H were pretty brave too. They actually let me dip the eggs and everything which I'm like 90% sure M&D would never do. Of course, G&G H don't have carpet in their kitchen... which is nice.
I had a blast coloring eggs but that wasn't even the end of it.
When the eggs dried, I got add STICKERS to the eggs as well. Dude, Easter ROCKS! Eggs: Good. Coloring: Good. Stickers: Good. I'm still having a hard time reconciling all of this (which includes a 6 ft tall bunny) with Jesus's resurrection but I'm sure the puzzle pieces fit together somehow.

Once I was satisfied with my decorating, I talked GpaH into playing some piano with me.
A-W-E-S-0-M-E Day!

I'll leave you with this little screen shot. For the record, I did try to blog on the 12th but Google put the kibosh on that. 3 points for trying?

Apocalypse Now Not

Well, I was a little behind on my blogging but then Mom and Dad decided to ditch me and head to NYC for seven days. That doesn't mean I couldn't have blogged, it just means my grandparents (with whom I split time) actually spend time playing with me which means I don't get bored which means no blogging for you.

Unfortunately it also means I'm over a month behind. DOH!

Grandma Davenport took some time off on Friday the 22nd so I volunteered to play with her. The weather wasn't particularly nice though so we hung out at the mall where the temperature and precipitation are well controlled.
Aunt Darcy played hooky too and while I would have been content to just hang out, she decided to buy me a NEW BUDDY!
Build-A-Bear was totally awesome but it was kind of difficult because I'm a little indecisive these days and had a hard time picking out, well, pretty much everything.

After BaB we headed over the carousel and GmaD even took me for a ride (or two.)
I was a little hesitant at first but and frankly didn't even like the first go 'round but after that, it was all good great!

After my nap, G&G D, AD & Uncle Dave met M&D for dinner at Barley's. Oh, and Ms. Bear joined too of course.

I know I'm still super far behind but stick with me and we'll catch up. What can I say, I thought the world was supposed to end yesterday day so I thought, what's the rush. I am my father's daughter!

Gather No Moss!

On Sunday the 17th Mom, Dad and I had breakfast with Aunt Darcy and Grandma Davenport at First Watch Shoppes at Corporate Woods. As per usual I kept myself busy concentrating on some creamer stacking.

Dave PHOTOBOMB! Ooohhh Dave!

That afternoon Mom and I watched "cars" to try to figure out why Dad would spend five days in Alabama but we didn't see the lure. For dinner we made mini pizzas and Mom even let me decorate my own 'za. I love cheese so it was some for the pizza, some for me, some for the pizza, some for me!

The art class that got cancelled on the 13th got rescheduled for the 20th. Grandma Herbert was out west so she couldn't take me so Mom stepped up.
That's probably for the best too because I don't think Dad would have done well in this environment - glitter + paint + 2 yrs old = Dad's worst nightmare.

That night Dad and I headed over to G&G D's for a play date with Cousin Ella. While Uncle Jeff and Aunt Emily were in Hawaii, Great Aunt Nancy and Great Uncle John babysat. The 20th was Ella's last night in town so we had a little get together.
Ella was SO close to crawling (and this was so long ago that she's probably tearing it up by now) but wasn't quite there. You could tell she wanted to though because she'd barrel roll to wherever she wanted to go - even if there were toys in the way! OW!

Three cameras, two kids, six adults all trying to get our attention -- it's a miracle we ever looked in the same direction at the same time!
