Blogger Broke - UPDATED

I seriously considered having this picture be my entire post - no verbiage at all, not even six lonely words. I here by declare this picture: EPIC!

On Sunday the fifth Mom and I joined Aunt Abby and Grandma Herbert for a tour of the Diana exhibit at Union Station.
Okay, I've been trying to write this post for awhile now and Blogger keeps crashing so I'm gonna try to post the rest of these pics via the blogger mobile app (which is awful) and go to bed. Blurgh!

Update: I tried to post a handful of pictures after the one above and SHOCK - it didn't work. Google owns Blogger & Google owns Android; can someone please get these groups together and make a decent app? This thing is brutal! Sounds like my instinct to begin and end with that first pic was spot on. I'll try to fix this tomorrow but I have to quit now before I throw something across the room.

Updated Update: So clearly I wasn't able to post the rest of the pics so I'm trying again tonight.

I REALLY wanted to pull out a few of the pillars on this cake - you know, go all Jenga with it but none of the adults would let me. Boo!

It's a tiny baby little slipper. (You have to read that in a baby voice and it might not hurt to have spent some time with me recently for that to make sense.)

The Diana exhibit was cool and all, mostly because I think I'd like to be a princess. But I think I like the idea of Disney's version - you know, happy endings and all.

For lunch we (Abby ditched us) headed down to the Kemper where I schooled Mom & GmaH in some Bananagrams.

I know I'm supposed to be the center of attention in most of these pictures (and I'm fine with that) but I often enjoy looking at the backgrounds - especially in this pic! Fun! Also, why are ALL straws bendy straws?

When Dad got home from watching race cars, the three of us joined Grandpa Davenport for dinner. GmaD arrived a bit late so to prolong the visit I suggested we get some Green Apple. Ice cream by the pound - I'm gonna need a bigger boat!

Race Car Ya-Yas

On the second I spent the day over at Grandma & Grandpa Herbert's. I really like when I wake up and GpaH is there with a smile. Any time I have to take a nap, it helps to know there's going to be something fun going on when I wake up. And at G&G H's it's knowing that, more often than not, GpaH is gonna be home from work when I wake up. YEA!
One of my favorite pastimes at G&G H's is playing with my phone/calculator. It's really more of a calculator/imaginary phone but it's digital and it has numbers on it so let's not split hairs. My favorite person to imaginary call is Uncle Dave. Mostly because I have unlimited imaginary minutes and UD can talk forever (imaginary or not!)

I spent Friday night, the third, over at Grandma & Grandpa Davenport's while M&D went to see Cake. M&D talk about cake quite a bit but I think it's usually in regards to EATING cake and not seeing Cake. As it turns out, cake (while delicious) is different from Cake (Showroom of Compassion.) Feel free to Google on your own time.

On the morning of the fourth, Mom, Dad and I had breakfast with Aunt Darcy and GmaD at First Watch Shoppes at Corporate Woods.
You know what's awesome? Running around brick pillars with dangerous protruding cement corners!

Since Dad was with GpaD and UD watching racecars in Wyandotte, Mom and I went over to G&G H's for dinner and some general playing.

GmaH and I took a swing over at the neighbors...

And GpaH and I did some running down hills...

And of course we wrapped it up with some piano!

Tomato Head

This is my last picture from May - YEA!. We had taco salad and while Dad readied the chicken, Mom and I prepped the other fixins. She cut the tomatoes and I transferred them from the cutting board to the bowl. Actually it was more like one for me, one for the bowl, one for me, one for the bowl. I LOVE COOKING (and eating!)

I'm afraid I'm too exhausted to write any more but I wanted to share this pic with you before I hit the sack. I had a busy weekend (which I'm sure you can read about in a month!) so I'm sure you understand.

I Like to Move-it, Move-it

On May 29th, Mom, Dad and I had breakfast with Aunt Darcy, Grandma & Grandpa Davenport at First Watch Shoppes at Corporate Woods.
Breakfast was great and all but the anticipation for what was coming that night was about all I could bear. One of Dad's friends throws a giant Memorial Day Luau with his family and they invite HUNDREDS of people. I'm not even sure I've MET a hundred different people so this was kind of a big deal and M&D had been building it up for about a week so needless to say, that afternoon's nap was one of the most difficult to date.

Here's a little video montage of that afternoon and evening. Enjoy.

Okay, did you get all that? M&D took over 100 pictures that day and this was the only way to share 'em - 1/6th of a second at a time.

To prevent you have having a seizure from watching that over and over trying to catch everything, here are a few of the highlights.
We were pretty much in awe from the moment we got there. Not only were there several hundred people but enough entertainment to keep every kid busy for DAYS!
I didn't brave the giant bouncy house but there were a few small ones (one with a ball pit) that were prety sweet but this mini house may have been the tops!
Of course, I can't let a swing or slide go buy without giving 'em a try and this was as good as most.
I saw Mr. Batliner drive buy a few times in this "big truck" and was pretty jealous...
Until I found the pint-size version on a walk-a-bout with GpaD. The battery was mostly dead so it didn't go far but there was enough juice for the horn to beep and anytime I can push a button, I'm a pretty happy camper.

There was also a live band when we got there and when they were done, they opened up this sweet dance floor. A live DJ played some tunes and I'm guessing I spent as much time on that dance floor as anyone.
Of course, when you groove as well as I do, there are bound to be many suitors. I think my fave was this gent with the hat and argyle sweater vest.

Dad took sever hundred MBs worth of video but I whittled them down to two for your pleasure.

That was definitely one of the funnest days ever and I want to give the Batliner family a huge THANKS for including us on the festivities.

Taste Test

Mom & Dad must have been exhausted from NYC because they did not take one picture of me from May 23rd - 26th. Fortunately I went over to Grandma Herbert's on Friday the 27th so the drought ended there.
I LOVE doing dishes. I may be alone on that front but what I can say, I love filling up a container with water and immediately dumping it out. HILARIOUS!

GmaH and I did some more baking that day and I got to help out a LOT. Well, "help" may be a stretch but whatever you call it, I had a blast!

GmaH said we needed some lemon juice and while this whole thing had me pretty stumped, I did my best. No risk of me sneaking a taste here. I've learned my lesson at least twice.
...Has the perfect amount of lemon!
The baked version was pretty good too - in fact, I couldn't take my eyes off it.

For dinner M&D and I joined Grandma & Grandpa Davenport for dinner at Jose Pepper's (yes, again. I love me some chips & salsa!)
Also, JP's kiddie cup is a mini Pepsi cup and even though there's never anything in it but water, I like to call "Avery's Soda!" Sweet!
After dinner I went on a little walk with GmaD... to the liquor store a few shops down so Dad could get some "weekend soda" of his own.

On the morning of the 28th, we had breakfast with G&G H, Janice & Sarah Zerbe at First Watch Shoppes at Corporate Woods. J&S were in town to visit with Mom about some wedding invitations for Sarah and we decided to kick things off with some breakfast.

Sarah & I played creamers together. I showed her how awesome it is to line up all the creamers and then she helped me count them. Pretty sweet.

After breakfast, Dad and I ran a few errands and ended up meeting GmaD and Aunt Darcy at Nordstrom for some shopping. Dad was pretty tricky breaking out the stroller. I did NOT see that coming. I do enjoy all the mirrors though...

For dinner we met up with AD, G&G D again but this time we hit up Red Robin - YUM!
That was a GOOD hug.
Once again, GpaD and I went for a walk but didn't make it outside this time because I may have gotten a little distracted.
Still distracted but this time due to the balloons - who could blame me?
It was really windy out so M&D both tried to take my balloon so it wouldn't blow away but I was having none of it. I'm sure you can guess what happened... and if you guessed I held on tight all the way to the car without incident, you won! Prety gutsy bet on those long odds!

Waited Patiently

This will be a pretty light post, at least in commentary. I assume that's how most of you would prefer it anywayThis was my last night away from Mom and Dad so I was trying to pack in as much fun as possible. The piano is always fun and I am GOOD! Or so I've been told... by people who I have wrapped around my finger... hmm, wait.

The next morning was pretty awesome as well. GmaH and I did some playing then I told her I wanted to do some more baking...
Almost looking at the camera.

M&D got to G&G H's around 4 I think, thanks to a ride from GpaH and I had a LOT to tell them.
Of course, the stories had to wait while I broke out a few dance moves.

That night we had dinner with Grandma & Grandpa Davenport at Jose Peppers. I'm sure it was under the guise of hearing all about NYC from M&D but let's be real, they hadn't seen me in like 3 days so I think we know what was really going on.

When we got home, the whole family was exhausted from our busy weeks and I was able to sneak in some snuggles with Mom before heading to bed.

I'm not sure what we did on the 21st (no pics) but I assume it was just full of naps and it's a good thing because Sunday the 22nd was another busy one.
We had breakfast with Uncle Dave, Aunt Darcy, G&G D at First Watch Shoppes at Corporate Woods. I got a little restless after I got done eating so GmaD took me for a walk outside.
I was wearing some new shoes and they had a small opening at the toe and I really enjoyed watching my toes peak out with each step.

For dinner we went back over to G&G H's to give Aunt Abby a proper Bday party.
While I was over at G&G H's this last week, I got totally addicted to the swing in their neighbor's yard and GmaH was nice enough to take me for a ride.

AA's friend Hannah was over to celebrate as well so when I was done swinging, I asked her, AA and Mom to join me in a game of Ring Around the Rosie.
I'm not really sure how Hannah and I were the only ones to end up on the ground because if memory severs me, we ALL fall down. Where's the fable?

After RATR I showed Hannah some of my sweet dance moves. Needless to say, she was pretty impressed.

After dinner we enjoyed the cake I baked (with a little help) then got a birthday photo opp with AA. As is par for the course these days, it was an exercise in patience.
