August 5th was another "Avery's Day Out" with Aunt Abby.
First stop: First Watch! After we fueled our tanks, we hit up Target without which no day is truly complete. I had my eye on some princesses but ultimately settled for a mini box of Goldfish crackers and a treat to be named later.
Next up was a trip to the playground. It had been raining that morning so that place was a ghost town. Not to mention all of the slides had water on them - save these two. It may have looked like a close race but I beat those Goldfish handily. They go down the slide like a fish out of water (INSERT RIM SHOT!)

Next we hit up Ms Hannah's office and came bearing gifts. I'm pretty popular 'round these here parts but when I show up with treats, I am Mrs Popularity. Also, I ate some of the treats -- COOKIES!

The night of Saturday the 6th, Mom & Dad decided to go see a movie so I asked to go play with Grandma & Grandpa Davenport.
For dinner we met Aunt Darcy & Uncle Dave at Han Shin; everyone's favorite Japanese Steakhouse. They were nice enough to make me these kiddie chop sticks which I had fun with while eating my salad.
Then came the rice.... uh...
And I was back to using a fork. You'd think for a culture where rice is so ingrained (RIM SHOT) that a fork or spoon would be a more natural utensil. I mean, the farmers aren't out there with pool cues! (Seinfeld - shock!)
It seems no meal is complete these days without some froyo. Ice Cream by the pound -- Forcing new holes in a belt near you! This is one of my favorite current pics. Kind of like one of those infinity mirror shots... kind of.
Uh oh, it appears GpaD forgot his change - SWEET!
Remember, you can't take it with you, but you can lick it so no one else can take it when you're gone.
Until Later,
Avery
