V-I-C-T-O-R-Y

As I mentioned a few posts ago, Grandma Davenport signed me up for Cheer Camp with the Olathe East cheerleaders. I think, technically, I was too young for this camp but in my experience, it's not what you know, it's who you know. And just so we're clear, I know GmaD.
I didn't always follow the group (read: mostly never) but I did roll from station to station and pay a little bit of attention.
Mom knows GmaD too and she was able to get a new friend into the camp as well. The little girl in blue is Emerson and her Mom works with my Mom. And despite being about a head taller than me she's only about a month older.
Here's another shot of Emerson... taking a nap behind me. Needless to say, Emerson didn't make it to the end of Cheer Camp.

At one point, one of the cheerleaders asked if I wanted to play Duck, Duck, Goose. I don't know what DDG is but all of the older girls were sitting in a circle and that looked pretty fun.
Of course, I was the next one picked and rather than chase the girl that tapped me, I ran over to see what Mom was doing. The game kind of broke up after that. Oops!
Okay, so I didn't follow directions much but I did have a really good time and, not surprisingly, I think my favorite part was the the dancing!

At the end, all the girls from camp put on a show so the parents could see everything they learned. Well, not all of the girls...

Remember, you can't take it with you, but you can lick it so no one else can take it when you're gone.

Until Later,
Avery
