Bigger Isn't Better

Mom & Dad left town with Aunt Darcy on January 5th to go see the Cotton Bowl down in Dallas.
Since I didn't get the Dallas nod, I split time between Grandparents. First up was with Grandma & Grandpa Herbert and while M&D were driving through Oklahoma, I was ice skating with Aunt Abby.
AA got me some skates for Christmas and this was our maiden voyage... complete with bicycle helmet... which I guess is better than nothing.
GmaH cheered us on from the sidelines... or whatever the "ice" version is and shot some video as well. Take a look.

The next morning GpaH and I did a little playing (puzzles are our fave) and that afternoon I was handed off to Grandma & Grandpa Davenport. Handed off -- what am I, a football?

Speaking of which, while AD, M&D were checking out 80 yards worth of KSU Band, I was checking out 8 inches of froggy with my new phone.
This is my "kitchen" phone so it doesn't take great pics but it's something.

A little later I hired Penny to babysit froggy because I had a game to watch. Penny may not have thumbs but I can pay her with hugs so the price is right.
K-State lost... boo.

On the 7th KSU played MU in basketball and won handily (thank goodness) and to celebrate, I made ice cream for G&G D... and me.

AD, M&D got home late Saturday night so I stayed over with G&G D again but we met them for breakfast the next morning.
They told us all about Dallas - stars, everything's bigger, blah, blah, blah. Then I told them about all the fun I had and now I'm telling you... three weeks later.

Remember, you can't take it with you, but you can lick it so no one else can take it when you're gone.

X Note

Okay, these are the last four pics I have before I need to unload the camera again so I thought I'd throw them into a quick post.
On the 2nd, we met Grandma & Grandpa Davenport for dinner at Barley's.

After dinner GpaD threw an Alexander Hamilton my way, which as you all know is a ten spot. Also, did you know the ten is one of two bills that does not feature a US President, the other of course being the C Note.

Yep, you guessed it, I'm trying to put a barrette in GpaD's hair. Getting it in isn't the hard part - getting it OUT is. Curly headed people unite!

Rang It In

New Year's Eve started out pretty sweet. Mom, Dad and I met Aunt Abby, Uncle Scott, Grandma & Grandpa Herbert for breakfast at First Watch Shoppes at Corporate Woods. And as you can see, we ran into several members of the Waldorf clan including my good buddy Logan.
It was pretty fun seeing Logan and Miss Anne out of context. And though I don't remember it, Dad said I had this grin on my face for a long while after they left. So fun!

That evening we celebrated NYE, as we have the last few years, over at the Ungles' house where I got play with my buddies Evan, Mason and Amelia.
How funny is this hat/beard that Evan got (I assume for Christmas.) I hear that his Mom & Dad both got matching hat/beards as well though apparently we didn't get a pic of it.

No idea what was going on here but I assume Evan and I were about to run around the house and probably wanted to get in a few quad stretches to stay loose.

We went home after Evan's house but the fun wasn't over. Aunt Darcy, Uncle Dave and Aunt Kelly came over to bring in the new year. The camera battery must have been dead or something because I don't have any pictures of the fun we had. And by "or something" I mean my photographers got lazy. I didn't make it to midnight but was up past 11. Not too bad for a 2 yr old, eh?

Somebody's Getting Got Mare-aid

On December 26th, Mom, Dad and I met Great Grandma Davenport, Great Aunt Nancy, Aunt Kelly, Aunt Darcy, Grandma & Grandpa Davenport for dinner at Nick & Jake's.
This was GGD's last night in town so we all wanted to say goodbye. We'll be going back down in mid February though for GGD's birthday. BRING ON SUNNY FLORIDA!
Ahh, nice shutter work camera...

On the 28th, M&D and I went to dinner with Grandma & Grandpa Herbert to celebrate their anniversary. While we waited for the food to come, I was playing with a new toy from Christmas. These are little dry erase cards that help me practice my numbers and letters. Pretty sweet!

I went over to Grandma Herbert's on Friday the 30th and we played with another new Christmas gift - A FANCY PORCELAIN TEA PARTY SET.

The 30th was also Dad's birthday. For dinner we met Uncle Dave, AD, G&G D at Johnny's and I guess GpaD didn't want Dad to be the only one getting gifts so he hooked me up with a ten spot! SCORE!

After we finished our burgers (and a few photo ops) I went home with G&G D so M&D could stay out and play.
And, as has been the theme, I got to play with another new Christmas gift - A NEW KITCHEN!
This kitchen is a bit more modern than the one at home but each seem to go well in their respective locations. This new kitchen has black counter tops and G&G D's kitchen has black counter tops. The one at home has some mustard like counter tops which happens to matche M&D's kitchen counters -- GOOOO '70s!

As the night wound down I had to put some of my toys to bed. Or maybe we were having a picnic because it looks like I had a pizza in the oven. Mmm, pizzzzzzzaaaaaaa.

Easy Like Christmas Morning

Christmas Morning - Speed Round
This was the scene at home when I got up.
As you can see, I got Mom's old kitchen set from the 80's and a table and chairs that Dad MADE.
Then there was Santa's bounty!

Had to check on the cookies I left - yep, Santa was here! Not sure why he didn't eat that last cookie though...

Gooooo State, Go!

Abby Cadabby!!!

This is George. He's a good little monkey and always very curious.

The table Dad made has a lid that opens so I can store some toys in there. Sa-weet!

When we were done at our house, we rolled over to Grandma & Grandpa Herbert's.
Aunt Abby made me this awesome dinosaur sweat shirt. FUN!

An Olivia Doll!

GmaH and I have been practicing ballet and now I have shoes to make it official!

GmaH knitted me a scarf to match a hat & gloves that I have. CUTE!

Ten foot long alphabet floor puzzle!

Round two of present opening: complete.
Round one of eating: go!
Uh, whose blog is this?

Next stop was over to Greats Aunt Nancy & Uncle John's house for round three.
GAN & GUJ got me a table and chair for my dolls so now they can sit with me at my new table and chairs. Sweet.
The table and chair were pretty close to Cousin Ella's size though so she made a run at them... so I tattled to Aunt Darcy. I know, I know, sharing, blah blah blah...

Round Four of Presents was over at Grandma & Grandpa Davenport's.
I still am not totally into opening presents so I took a break to play with Riley and Penny.

New cupcake Jams...
...with a robe!

Round two of eating: chinese dinner!
After dinner we took a little family photo op.
And since CE and I had on the same outfit, we did a "cousins from anotha motha" shoot.
