Bed Bug

Tuesday the 14th was Valentine's Day (be mine, blah blah blah) but more importantly it was Great Grandma Davenport's birthday (and of course Happy Bday to Great Aunt Nancy too!)
We celebrated her birthday breakfast at the Olympia Flame Diner. They didn't sing and clap or anything (boo!) but they did bring her a muffin with a candle in it. I'm not sure if we left before other 91 candle muffins got delivered or what but we had things to do!

When we got home I (and butterfly balloon) helped GGD open her birthday bounty.

Also, GmaD got me some Valentine goodies so I was pretty busy myself.

I'd been asking M&D all week if we could go out on a boat and on Tuesday, I finally got my wish.
That afternoon M&D, GGD, G&G D headed down to the water taxi. I was white knuckling it for the first few minutes but relaxed fairly quickly.
They call it a water taxi but for us it was more like a water tour. Each boat had a captain and color guy for lack of a better term. The color guy regaled us with tid-bits about historic sites, how much certain houses were worth or who lived in them.
Though now that I've determined the deckhand from the previous day was full of it about the Cakewalk, I'm not sure what I believe.

That night we celebrated dinner with a touch more class than we celebrated breakfast. Once again it was Sea Watch for dinner and it lived up to its name.
With so much time from beginning to end of a dinner like that, it's always tricky to keep me entertained the whole time.
Fortunately there was bread...

And Aunt Darcy...

And Crayons...

And Letters. And once again Dad took me for a walk outside to pass the time. While we were out there we saw the moon (which I love) and Dad tried explaining constellations to me with a little help from the Google Sky Map app on his phone. It was kind of cool even though I'm not sure what he was talking about.

When we go home AD decided to get ready for bed but since I wasn't ready, I helped tuck her in.
Then I stayed for a bit to play with her...
...for well over 30 minutes until eventually Dad made me go to bed myself. Party pooper!

Remember, you can't take it with you, but you can lick it so no one else can take it when you're gone.

Until Later,
Avery
