Up

On Sunday the 22nd, Mom, Dad and I met Aunt Darcy, Uncle Dave, Grandma & Grandma Davenport for a late breakfast, a brunch if you will, at the Cheesecake Factory. If you haven't tried their breakfast/brunch then I highly recommend it. Especially the low calorie incredibly delicious hash browns. In fact, the CF down on the plaza serves them in a cast iron skillet like dish - YUM!

On Thursday the 26th, Mom had to work late and Dad had happy hour and apparently couldn't be bothered with any child rearing so Grandma Herbert picked me up from Miss Anne's. But rather than wait until after my nap, GmaH picked me up before lunch so we could hit up the library.
GmaH even tried to get me my own library card but due to some bureaucratic red tape (needed legal guardian's signature... for some reason) I couldn't get one that day. No worries, GmaH skipped the middle man and MADE me a temporary one.

The next day was a Friday so I was back with GmaH. We started the morning off with a little ballet. I'm not sure if you can tell but I'm wearing my ballet shoes I got for Christmas. They make spinning on the hardwoods totally awesome!

Later we ran some errands with Aunt Abby which included a trip to Michael's where I got hooked up with a K-State flower. Oh, and how cute is my scarf? This is the one GmaH made me for Christmas and AA has taught me all the cool ways to tie it.

Before my nap GmaH and I worked on a little art project. Glue sticks are awesome. They can turn any piece of paper into a STICKER! Totally sweet.

For dinner that night, M&D and I joined Aunt Darcy and Grandpa Davenport for dinner at Granite City. When we finished eating, GpaD must have thought my piggy bank was hungry because he gave me some piggy food. Thanks GpaD!
After dinner AD, GpaD, Dad and I went to Olathe East to see Grandma Davenport and watch the Hawks play some basketball (a.k.a Run around the commons, climb the bleachers and mimic the cheerleaders!)

Saturday the 28th was a busy day and it started with some tumbling.
You guys have seen a lot of tumbling pics so I'll keep it brief but one of my favorite parts, aside from the trampolines of course, is the slide. That day they setup the slide so when you hit the bottom you fell into a mini ball pit. It was VERY popular.

That night we went over to my buddy Maddie's for a baby shower for the Nass'. (Is that the correct plural possessive form of Nass? I never know...) I got to play with Maddie (of course), Amelia, Mason and Evan. It was a lot of fun and maybe the most fun was watching Mason run around the house with four balloons TIED TO HIS PANTS! This would be a good plot for Disney Pixar movie don't you think?

Well balloon pants may not have been the best part. There was this sesame street work bench that played music whenever you did anything. I hit those buttons over and over and over and over and over and over and over and just danced the whole time. Aunt Patty got some vid of it. You can't hear the music so well but you can see my sweet moves!

I want to thank Maddie for letting me steal some pics and the video from her post about the party. Actually I need to hang out with Maddie a lot more to cut down my blogging work load!

I'm looking forward to meeting baby Nass. Will be fun to have another baby in the group soon. I have to imagine I'll be getting calls to babysit any day now!

Remember, you can't take it with you, but you can lick it so no one else can take it when you're gone.

Until Later,
Avery
