C.o.P Out

On Saturday the 10th, Mom had to roll down to Wichita again (Wichita, so hot) so Dad and I were on our own.
Though I use the term 'on our own' pretty loosely because Dad called in some back up to help get through the day. A day that started with breakfast at First Watch Shoppes at Corporate Woods with Grandma & Grandpa Davenport.
Look closely... see my pinky finger? That's the one I have GmaD wrapped around!

That Saturday marked the last day for that particular session of tumbling. There was a trophy ceremony at the end and we had to wait at the red line until our names were called. (And yes, Dad forgot the camera but remembered his phone. -5 points Dad.)
When my name was called I made my way to the podium to accept what I assumed was going to be a first place trophy.
Uh... Certificate of Participation? Hello, I was there, I know I participated, I don't need it certified. What I need is to know where I stand in relation to the other kids in the class! Ugh. I'll just ask my Grandmothers what place they think I earned! I like my chances of getting GOLD!

To celebrate my 'participation' Dad took me to Sam's club right after tumbling. Hmm, let's do a cart inventory here: 40 beers and 80 K-cups? What did Dad have planned for us???

After SC, we headed over to play with G&G D again. And while we went to G&G D's, only one did any playing. And it was me. Dad took a nap (I skipped mine) so GmaD and I played all afternoon.
GmaD got me some dominoes the week before and I rather enjoy them. It's almost like these things were made to be set up just to be knocked down again!

Did someone call me?

In addition to setting up my castle, I had my kitchen to play with as well and made GmaD some ice cream. No cones or bowls or anything, just ice cream. Those other things just get in the way anyway.
This is what my kitchen looked like when I was done playing with it. Dad has a theory about genetics and cupboard closing and this doesn't hurt his theory...

Mom got home from Wichita just in time to join us for dinner at Red Robin. Yum. Though my "no nap" was having a bit of an impact on my behavior and I'm willing to bet she wished she had missed it... hard to pass on those steak fries though. Did I mention YUM?

Remember, you can't take it with you, but you can lick it so no one else can take it when you're gone.

Until Later,
Avery
