Tap-In

Friday the 20th was a busy day.
I started off the day over at Grandma & Grandpa Herbert's. In the morning, GmaH and I walked across the street to visit with Ms Sue and my buddy Boca the cat. I think you can tell just by looking at him that Boca really missed me.

GpaH took a little lunch break to play cards with me. GpaH is pretty good but as you can see, I'm clearly winning.

Donna Lane stopped to say hi for a bit too and after work GpaH and I crammed in a puzzle before Mom came to swoop me away.

Mom had to swoop me away though because we had dinner plans with Aunt Darcy, Uncle Dave, Grandma & Grandpa Davenport with special guest Great Aunt Suzi and Great Uncle Dale.
Since GAS & GUD missed my 3rd birthday, we celebreated my 3.055 birthday. PRESENTS!
The gifts kept coming all through dinner and one near the end was (or will be) especially fun.
MY FIRST PAIR OF TAP SHOES!
I am going to start a ballet & tap class this summer and now I'll be able to do so in style!
THANKS GAS & GUD!

Just Desserts

We celebrated tax day by chillin' around the house. I really enjoy reading magazines with Mom and of course, everyone loves sitting with Penny.

I've been working really hard on my potty training and my current reward is a popsicle. My favorite trick is to earn said popsicle right before bed so I get to delay the inevitable even if it's just for few more minutes. You're not surprised right?

Over the last few weeks my neighbor Thomas and I have become pretty good friends. He's about 6 months older than I am but we play really well together and have something in common: We love my swingset!

This is the Peanut's first official new outfit. I mean, I know I was 7lbs once too but I can't get over how small this thing is. The color does suit her though don't you think?

Vertigo

I was pretty active at tumbling on the Saturday the 14th so it's a good thing I stretched before hand.
First I climbed Cherry Mountain. A lot of people will say it the ascent that's the goal but I really like the descent!
Next was climbing this ladder. Dad tries to get me on this thing every time so I threw him a little bone and made it to the second rung.
Then I got lost in this mat maze. What you don't know is that a half second after this picture was taken, the other little girl turned around and smacked her forehead into my face. It was NOT GREAT!
Next was a little rock wall climbing. I didn't make it much past the spot in this pic. Is it too early to be officially diagnosed as Acrophobic? Na - I love my swing set too much to be afraid of heights!
After tumbling I headed over to Grandma & Grandpa Davenports to play for a bit while Mom, Dad, Aunt Darcy and Aunt Kelly fought cancer. Here I was out having fun while they were busy fighting the good fight. So impressed!

Great Balls of Fire

Now that my new table is here to stay I've been getting plenty of use out of it. I keep my crayons and such inside for impromptu art projects. The one below for instance, has a self portrait on the right. Not bad for a three year old, eh? I mean, I even included eyebrows!

On Friday the 13th I went over to Grandma Herbert's. Despite it being and ominous day per the calendar, we had a lot of fun.

I feel like these three pics make me look like I'm Jerry Lee Lewis and I'm back on the Steve Allen Show. Too bad this isn't a video huh? Actually, it's probably best that it's not since I'm not quite at the JLL level of piano jamin' and that would be all too obvious with moving pictures.

GIRL - You Know it's True

Remember this pic? Well, on Monday the 9th Mom & Dad had a Dr. appt and they figured out what was behind that blurred out spot. That's right, I'm going to be a big sister! Oh wait, that was already established. I meant I'm going to have a LITTLE SISTER!
We haven't picked out a name yet though so for the time being she's still "The Peanut."

On the 10th M&D played with me in the backyard and Mom even pushed me on the swing. Then she stopped and I was sad. Actually sad isn't quite the right word. I think ATOMIC is a bit more accurate.
When I was done with dinner, I tried to get M&D to go back outside. They declined but did let me go out by myself. That was a bit surprising but I took full advantage.
Though with no one to push me on the swing and with my house fully cleaned, it was kind of boring. So I spent about 8 minutes out there before heading back in to play with M&D.

A Brief Hat-story

The 8th was Easter Sunday and Mom donned me in my Sunday's best.
I did one pose a la Aunt Abby and one pose a la Avery D. Try to guess which is which!

When I made my way downstairs I found my table and chairs from Christmas but looking much prettier now. M&D said the Easter Bunny painted them... which is odd... since Dad built them.

I didn't have too much trouble finding most of the eggs but M&D did have trouble convincing me to retrieve several of them since I was prone to taking breaks.
Like when I saw Grandma & Grandpa Herbert pull in the drive way.
Then it was back to hunting.
Then another, very worth while break.
Then hunting.
Then a break (the EB at GmaH's got me a jump rope!)

Before too long we had to head to church though I was bummed I didn't get to wear a hat. I have a lot of hat wearing experience too. Check out my resume:
Also, I should probably go to the Kentucky Derby...

After church we joined everyone (Woods, Zellers, Kaczmarczyks, Mullens & Davenports) at Strouds.
Great Aunt Nancy gave me some Hello Kitty goodies and I was nice enough to share one of my bandaids with Uncle Tim. He only had a pretend boo-boo but I find real bandaids are excellent at healing those. Works every time!
Ms Caitlin and I were admiring one another's fashion sense. I had a gold dress on and MC had on gold shoes - I NEED THOSE!
