The Life Aquatic

After breakfast on the 22nd, Great Aunt Suzi, Aunt Darcy, Grandma Davenport, Mom and I headed to the newly opened Sea Life Aquarium at Town Center.
For those of you not in the know, going in next door to the SLA is a Lego Land. It wasn't open when we were there but this guy is out front as a teaser. Isn't the detail incredible? I personally counted over fourteen legos! I don't know the exact number but that's largely because I get confused after 14 for some reason. I just feel like seventeen follows fourteen so perfectly...

The SLA was very cool and catered to kids very well.
My two favorite parts were probably the giant sea ray. He's so ugly and yet I can't look away. He does look happy though...

I also really liked the Jelly Fish. They were backlit with black lights which are also pretty sweet. If they were to pipe in some Pink Floyd, I think it would really come together nicely.

Before we left we stopped by the gift shop and I got a big Sea Ray for me and a baby Sea Ray for the Peanut. My first gift to her (though it was really just so I wouldn't have to share mine in four months!)

I also talked the other girls into letting me stop by the Crayola Cafe for a few minutes. I have enough crayons at my house to make it an unofficial crayola museum (of incomplete boxes) so I wanted to see what the competition was like.
The whole time we were there I kept thinking how much my sister Penny would love it there. She eats crayons if left unattended and this place was a smorgesbord smourgesbord smorgesbourd smourgesbourd (had to look it up) smorgasbord!

That night Grandpa Davenport and Dad came back from watching race cars so we had dinner together... where I talked GpaD into watching me race cars...
And boats. This blue one is a boat (blog theme!) which I can crash as well as any car but with the boat I get to control the throttle too. Brakes? We don't need no stinkin' brakes!

Remember, you can't take it with you, but you can lick it so no one else can take it when you're gone.

Until Later,
Avery
