Bird's Nest

When Dad came to wake me up on May 25th, he found that not only was I already awake but I had grabbed a book to read in my bed.
You can't tell due to the flash but the lights were actually out which made reading a little difficult but when you're just "reading" pics, it's not really so bad anyway.

At this point in my life there aren't a lot of "firsts" still left to happen but that afternoon was a big one. Most kids my age went through this milestone long before I did so I guess that makes me behind the curve. Se la vie!
To be fair, these two pics have been altered (HDR-ish; Google it) to highlight what a mess my hair was. Mind you, the altering didn't make my hair worse it just makes it clear exactly how badly I needed a haircut.
We hired Grandma Herbert for the job (payable in hugs!) and to make the cleanup a bit easier, we did it outside.
I kept VERY still and followed all the directions GmaH gave me... especially after Grandpa Herbert told me all about ears getting knicked!
Turned out pretty darn well eh?

After my day at the spa GmaH and I showed Mom where we found some tiny strawberries out back. Cute right?
Dad helped me put them on the bird feeder so some birds could enjoy some strawberry deliciousness.

Before we left GmaH helped me get a look at my new 'do. LOVE IT!

For dinner M&D and I met Grandma & Grandpa Davenport for dinner at Ruby Tuesday.
I don't know what I said here but I'm sure it was HILARIOUS!

After dinner the five of us headed to Green Apple - an old time fave!
After ice cream I got to take GpaD's Corvette for a spin. 10&2? Who needs it!

Remember, you can't take it with you, but you can lick it so no one else can take it when you're gone.

Until Later,
Avery
