Day Tripper

On Memorial Day Mom, Grandma & Grandpa Herbert and I took a day trip out to Beloit. We packed up the car pre-dawn, or maybe it wasn't, but it was definitely early enough that my eyes weren't fully open so we're splitting hairs.
The upside to leaving so early was that we got out there while the sun was still throwing morning shadows and our fist order of business was to drop off some flowers in remembrance of Great Grandma Chapman.
We had lunch with Great Aunt Janyce and Great Uncle Tim at the Mexican Restaurant. I'm sure it has a name but in Beloit I imagine it's the Mexican restaurant so I'm not worried about it. After lunch we stopped by Chatauqua Park which is pretty awesome - and huge! The playground is top notch too. You see that giant yellow slide - LOVED IT. And as much as I loved swinging with GpaH I think I liked this other swing even better. I have no idea what is going on with this thing but it has to be THE safest swing in existence. Crazy eh?

After the park we went back to the house to gnash on some brownies that GmaH and I had made. And they were delicious!

The next was back to business as usual... and as usual I talked M&D into dinner at Red Robin - YUM! The weather was nice so we ate outside which is becoming increasingly rare these days as summer in KC is now in full effect. Yea (read as boo.)

Remember, you can't take it with you, but you can lick it so no one else can take it when you're gone.

Until Later,
