What Big Eyes You Have

On May 27th we were fortunate enough to attend the 10th Annual (2nd Annual for us) Batliner Luau. There were a lot of the same attractions as last year but this year I got to check out a lot more. SWEET!
I think we had been there for about 8 minutes when I talked Mom & Dad into taking me to the first bouncy house/slide. As you can imagine I had a blast on this one. Actually, you don't have to imagine - it looked something like this.
Now watch that about 20 more times and you'll get an idea about how much time I spent there.

When M&D were finally able to drag me away we didn't make it far before I saw the NEXT bouncy house. And it was a big one.
I was a little tentative on this "ladder" but eventually I got over my fears.
I'm not sure that Dad and Grandpa Davenport did though. Something about seeing me scale a two story inflatable ladder had them a bit unsettled.

Next I checked out the kid sized house. Kid sized but still with a second level and air conditioning. Sure, why not.

Spent some time at the swing set but M&D refused to push me so we moved on.

We took a little respite from the sun and found the 4&Under bouncy house/slide/ball pit in the warehouse. Also ran into a big bad wolf. Red Riding hood was nowhere to be found though so... that's probably not good.

We finally made our way to the Pooh bouncy house and since it was limited to 5&under (or maybe 7) it was pretty awesome. Once again, Dad was a bit tentative but I loved it and told Aunt Darcy exactly that!

There was a really nice breeze that afternoon and it's a good thing too because I'm betting that wolf can get pretty warm with all that fur. That can't be comfortable...

... no words... other than 'click to enlarge'

At some point we got in line for face painting and I watched in awe.
When it became my turn I decided to go as a 'Mermaid' (like Ariel.)
M&D immortalized it with a family pic via front facing camera (love it!) and AD immortalized it with a trip to the photo booth. AD's way was considerably more fun!
Complete with souvenir!

As the sun was dimming I crammed in some more Pooh bouncy house.
Oh, did I mention the whole party takes place right next to a little lake complete with fountain? Not too shabby.

I'll leave you with a few videos of me dancing, kind of. Last year's dancing vid's were a bit better but that's probably the photographer's fault because I had just as much fun!

Remember, you can't take it with you, but you can lick it so no one else can take it when you're gone.

Until Later,
Avery
