You're Gonna Need a Bigger Boat

May 31st was a Thursday and we invited David & Margot to play at the Thursday Night Free Concert at Park Place.
Despite it almost being June, it was COLD. Weather Underground tells me it was barely 60 degrees and that doesn't even include the 20 mph wind rolling in from the North. No worries, we just bundled up and tried to stay warm. Miss Mary Anne help by initiating a game of ring around the rosie. I'm not sure how much fun she actually had but we loved it!
MMA bailed after just one Ring but the three of us stayed strong.
For a little while anyway.
Then David bailed so Margot and I had to hold down the fort by ourselves.
No problem here, as long as I'm falling down I'm all good!
Also, being on the ground helped keep us out of the wind so it was definitely a win-win. There were multiple times I considered turning our picnic blanket into an Avery blanket. Brrrr!

When we got done playing RATR we decided to go dance in front of the band which eventually lead to just running back and forth between the band and base camp. I have a feeling M&D were pretty pleased I was wearing a bright pink jacket so they could pick me out of the crowd easily - seriously, cut the cord already!
I think my dino sweatshirt helped them keep tabs on me as well. I'm just tall enough to look like a shark trolling through the water. If I were a bit more computer savvy I definitely would have overlaid the Jaws theme to this video. (side note: John Williams totally rocks!)

Brody was right!

Remember, you can't take it with you, but you can lick it so no one else can take it when you're gone.

Until Later,
