Addition

June 17th was Father's Day and we had fathers a plenty.
I started the day by going to church with Grandma & Grandpa Herbert. I'm not sure if Mr. Diebold has any kids or not but I know he has dogs which makes him a father in this family! Father Count: 1
Then of course there's GpaH. He's a father to three and a Grandfather to 5.5... but that apparently isn't enough to get me to put down my cookie for a photo opp!

After church, G&G H and I met Aunt Abby, Mom and Dad back out our house for a father's day brunch. Dad is a father to 3.5 (of course I'm counting my two older and one younger sisters) Father count: 3
Ooops, I'm told we don't have any footage of brunch - but Mom made Egg Casserole (and I think I ate more than anyone) and GmaH brought over a Strawberry Pie from Tippins. I don't know what a "Tippins" is but they know (or knew) pie, that's for sure.

For dinner we met Grandma & Grandpa Davenport for dinner over at Aunt Darcy & Uncle Dave's. GpaD is a father to three (including Aunt Lil') and a Grandfather to 5.5. Uncle Dave is a father of 1 2 now! Father count: 5
This is AD&UD's new addition, Cooper. He was very nice to my sisters and me and was always interested in whatever we were doing. I resemble that!
Here's a picture of GpaD and I while he opened the card from me. For those not in the know, I refer to GpaD as 'Pop-Pop' (and GpaH as 'Gran-Pop') and I actually found a 'Pop-Pop' card for Father's Day. And better still? It had frogs on it which of course I love as well. It may have been the most perfect card ever... so I guess it's all down hill from here.

I'm always trying to get Penny to sit and sleep with me and that evening I made room for her on my chair outside and she hopped up. I literally could not have been happier!

To help keep the bugs away, AD lit some citronella candles. Fire = Fascinating! It's like people don't know how neat fire looks because I got told a number of times not to get too close. Uh, but then I can't see as well. Where's the fable??

Remember, you can't take it with you, but you can lick it so no one else can take it when you're gone.

Until Later,
Avery
