Carp To It

I forgot to add these to the correct post from a few days back. Grandma Davenport and I hit up Family Tree Nursery to get some plants (which were potted later) and I stopped to enjoy the Koi pond. Did you know Koi are members of the carp family and apparently eat a lot. Point being you're supposed to have 1 Koi per 100 gallons of water.
There are at least six bad boys in this shot alone... that's a lotta rocks water!

Now back to where I was... blogging about four weeks ago!
I'm always trying to get Penny to sleep with me but for some reason, she's a little skittish. After my nap on the 10th though, Dad lifted her up for a little test drive. She didn't immediately jump down so I assume she loved it!

Before dinner I talked Dad into playing a little 'two tree' Hi Ho Cherry-O. HHCO is a counting game but each tree only holds 10 cherries and let's face it, counting to ten is child's play... wait... um... I'm a... anyway, we like to play with two trees so we can count all the way to 20. And in case YOU can't count, I'm crushing Dad in this pic. AVERY RULES!

The 11th was a Monday and while GmaD is on vacay, we're spending our Mondays hanging out. Prior to lunch, we headed over to Leaping Lizards. They have a number of "themed inflatables" including a pirate ship, a Batman batcave and Dora the Explorer's jungle but I seemed to spend the majority of my time at the castle with the Disney Princesses -- SHOCK!
After mastering the little slide at the castle I took on some of the bigger slides in the neighboring houses.
But some of those other slides are pretty huge. I was a little tentative until I saw another little girl go down... who only went down after her big brother told her to. Is that what it's like to have a little sister? You just get to boss her around? SWEET!

Remember, you can't take it with you, but you can lick it so no one else can take it when you're gone.

Until Later,
