It's Pronounced WIDE Screen

Now that I've finally made it to June, I'm going to try to bust through a few days.
I spent the 1st over at Grandma & Grandpa Herbert's. Of course, I couldn't really play with GpaH until he got done with work so short of wagon ride after lunch, GmaH and I had to keep ourselves busy.
As GmaH and I were going about our day, I started singing a song so at one point she decided to write down the lyrics. Click to enlarge. I'm telling you, my CD is droppin'!
We also recreated one of my favorite books, Mushroom in the Rain. In the book, an ant takes cover from the rain under a mushroom and is soon joined by a number of buddies, including a rabbit that's trying to elude a fox. (A mushroom grows in the rain, that's how it was able to provide so much cover) In our version, you see the fox on the outside of the mushroom and you can lift the mushroom flap to see all the peeps hiding inside. It's pretty sweet.

On Saturday M&D and I met Aunt Darcy, Uncle Dave, Grandma & Grandpa Davenport for breakfast at First Watch shoppes at corporate woods. After breakfast, M&D had to do some yard work (what?) so my neighbors Thomas and Brady and I did some playing. We spent a little time on the swing set but the real fun came when we broke out their new water table. Sweet!

Not sure what else was happened on the 3rd but apparently the highlight was Dad and I eating some cookies (which Mom and I baked - not sure where those pics are!)

M&D and I ran some errands on the 4th, most notable of which was a trip to the rec center to get OUR POOL PASSES! Sweet, hello summer at the pool!
When we got home, we didn't have any electricy. Dad did some root cause analysis and narrowed it down to OUR METER BEING DISCONNECTED! Uh, duh. KCPL was doing work a few houses over and for whatever reason, they had to disconnect us as well. Mom went to pack us a bag to stay over with G&G H and while she did, Dad and I played shadow puppets with a flashlight (which apparently I've never played with before) on the patio. Dad's reproitoire repotoire (I'll never guess it-giving up) repertoire of shadow puppets is too shabby... for some reason. Here's a Dog but he also does an Gator, Butterfly (but who can't), a Swan and my favorite - a Gorilla! As soon as Mom got our bag packed... while in the dark... with no AC... the power finally came back on. Sweet, sweet AC.

Tuesday the 5th was the first week of a new Tumbling session. There are about five kids in this class with TWO coaches. This is compared to my old Saturday morning class that had ~20 kids and 3 coaches. This rocks! (note: I'm the only kid (of 3) that's doing what the coach is doing. Yes, I'm officially a teacher's pet!)
After class we met AD, G&G D for dinner at Coach's. The rooftop was packed so we ate down in the game room - which you can imagine broke my heart!

On Wednesday the 6th M&D and I tested our new pool cards. We started out in the baby pool (you can practically read my lips in this first pic, "COLD!")
Eventually we made it to the big pool and Mom caught it on video... kind of. At least you don't have to tilt your head (thanks YouTube.)

Remember, you can't take it with you, but you can lick it so no one else can take it when you're gone.

Until Later,
Avery
