Queueing

On July 12th M&D and I went to the Thursday Night Free Concert at Park Place. The band playing was the Doo Dads and it was packed! But the DDs weren't the only attraction. The folks at TNFC@PP brought in a face painter, a juggler (which doesn't capture how awesome this guy actually was) and a Balloon Artist -- all leading to WAY too many kids in such a small area. Fortunately one of those kids was my buddy Norah (with her Mom and sister in the bottom left foreground.)

It didn't take long after I finished dinner before I was able to talk Mom into taking me over to Paciugo - YUM.
After that though I got a little restless. Dad came to the rescue though and volunteered to take me to get a balloon animal. That may not sound like much but the lines were SO long that Dad had to try to keep me busy for what turned out to be over 45 minutes. The first five minutes of which were spent in the wrong line which didn't help get things off on the correct foot.
When we found the end of the balloon artist line I was able to keep myself busy for awhile by practicing on this impromptu balance beam. But before long I was back hanging all over Dad's legs which I guess was less than great with the heat... my goodness... the heat. Dad decided he'd rather have me on his shoulders so up I went. I didn't like it at first but as long as I could clutch Dad's neck, I was okay.
I was especially pleased when Dad broke out his phone and took some pictures with the front facing camera (and you know how I like FFCs.)
He even took a little video... which I was also in favor of!

I did eventually get a balloon and while I asked the guy for Cinderella he countered with, "no chance" so Dad talked me into a flower which looked pretty cool... until I realized that the petals were from a pre-made balloon and the whole thing took about 24 seconds. Definitely worth the 45 minutes in line!
I hit the dance floor to show off my new balloon which only enhanced my sweet dance moves!

I rounded out the night with some ring around the rosie. In case you're wondering, we did not ALL fall down. Guess who abstained...

Remember, you can't take it with you, but you can lick it so no one else can take it when you're gone.

Until Later,
Avery
