White Water Rewards

July 5th was my last day of swim lessons with Coach Matt.
If you're like me, you assumed I'd be swimming laps after my 7 lessons but I thought that after my last set of lessons -- TWO YEARS AGO!

To celebrate our last lesson, CM took us on the slide.
And it was AWESOME!

Unfortunately there were three of us students and only one CM so he doubled us up a few times which was fine by me. I'll take more trips even if it means I have to share my seat; no brainer!
I think I ended up going five or six times and if that's how all swim lessons ended, I'd be more than willing to take lessons every day... but I'm still not sticking my head under water.
Actually, I did get a skills assessment (grade card) at the end and unlike gymnastics, it wasn't just a certificate of participation.
There was some actual feedback like, "Needs to gain confidence going under water"
But that was countered with, "Has a wonderful personality!" Okay, maybe at the 2028 Olympics I'll be closer to a Bob Costas than a Bob Bowman.

After class Grandma Davenport, Dad and I headed to lunch with Grandpa Davenport, Aunt Darcy, Uncle Dave, Mr. Paul (Zeller) and Great Uncle John.
UD brought along my cousins Riley and Cooper and after Cooper took up residence on GpaD's lap, we did a little bit of playing. He's so fun.

Then I found a calculator and all other bets were off. This is about as much technology M&D are willing to let me play with so I have to take it where I can get it!

Remember, you can't take it with you, but you can lick it so no one else can take it when you're gone.

Until Later,
Avery
