Half Birthday; Whole Fun

October 1st was my half birthday and to celebrate M&D gave me 3 options: A trip to target for a toy, Dinner at Red Robin or dessert at Green Apple. I chose... wisely!

So far I think my favorite part about getting a little sister are the presents I'VE gotten. On the 3rd I got a cupcake set from the Webers that I get to decorate however I want. YUM!

On the 4th, Grandma Herbert, Mae, Mom and I went to the Louisburg Cider Mill. Last time we went it was jam packed and we didn't get to do everything we wanted but this time we went up in the middle of the week to beat the crazy. Good choice!

Cider donuts are like regular donuts but I guess there are some apples in there or something. Whatever it was, they were delicious!
I'm not sure what Mae's opinion was of the trip but I had a blast.

Open seats for everyone - THAT'S what I'm talking about!

Remember, you can't take it with you, but you can lick it so no one else can take it when you're gone.

Ear Buds Bugs

Rockin' it caption style again!
On Sept 17th we took Mae to her Red Robin for the first time and she slept through the whole thing - NO BALLOON FOR HER!

On the 18th (Team day at school!) baby Ali was a little fussy so I slapped her into the swing... okay, so she wasn't fussy but that thing has buttons and buttons are FUN!

Then I stumbled upon these ladybug earphones that M&D had 6 months ago but chose not to give to me at my ladybug themed birthday party.
Odd choice but I'm over it now... that they finally gave 'em to me. Dad let me listen to some music from his tablet which doesn't really seem like him....
THEN HE GAVE ME MY OWN IPOD and loaded it with my faves. SWEET! I would prefer one with a screen but this one has buttons and that's pretty cool too.

On the 22nd I found some of my old shoes and decided to hand them down to baby Ali. I'm pretty hard on my shoes but these Chucks were in pretty good shape. I hope BA isn't too hard on them so Mae can wear them too!

M&D went out to watch KSU upset OU so I spent the night at Grandma & Grandpa Herbert's but before I did, Grandma Davenport took me to Olathe East where we met up with Cousin Ella and Great Aunt Nancy to see the homecoming decorations... which for some reason catered to the toddler crowd. And it was AWESOME!
I went with G&G H to church the next morning where they had a rosebud in the pulpit to "herald the arrival" of my sister. The rose was pretty and all but let's not make too big a deal of this kid. I mean, she mostly just cries. Then again one of the definitions of herald is "an official crier..." so what would you expect?

That evening MDM&I went over to Greats Aunt Nancy & Uncle John's house to play with Cousin Ella et al.
Ella and I played soccer with Uncle Tim...
...played actual Candyland with Mom...
... and cooked dinner for the whole clan.

At one point Ms. Caitlin and UT let me feed Boozie (the fourth in the pic above) but there's no such thing as a free lunch so Boozie had to work for it. I'm kind of a pushover though and rewarded him(?) before he did much. Hey, I get rewarded for going to the bathroom so I'm not throwing stones here!

GAN&GUJ gave Mae some swag for being born (big deal, everyone's done it) but I got the hookup as well for having to put up with her!
I got a new nightgown! I'm way into nightgowns now because during Pajama day at school (the day before Team Day) all the girls wore nightgowns... except me. Not great.

Um... I'm sure Ella was okay after my "hug"... I hope.

On the 25th I helped mom make Enchilada Casserole - one for EC, one for me, one for EC, one for me....

On the 26th MDM&I had dinner with AD, G&G D and Great Uncle Dale.
After dinner at Gordon Biersch we hit up Paciugo (naturally) and on our way to the car we ran across this new shop and inside was a puppy that looked just like cousin Riley. Lucky dog!

M&D had a concert on the 28th so Mae and I hung out with G&G D, AD, GUD and Great Aunt Suzi.
TECHNOLOGY! I assume we were looking at some pictures but I could have also been giving some tech support. I love buttons you know!
Seriously, I give the best hugs!

The next morning I had Cheer Camp at Olathe East but I had a little bit of the tummy troubles so it wasn't as much fun as last year.
It was still fun but I feel kind of bad that I didn't participate much.
Go team.

Doin' math princess style!

On the 30th MDM&I went back over to G&G D's to play with GAS&GUD some more before they left town.

My new dance class has a recital at the end of the session... I'm just sayin'.

Remember, you can't take it with you, but you can lick it so no one else can take it when you're gone.

Playing Catch Up

I'm gonna bust through these caption style to make up some time.
These two videos are actually from 8/20. Love my new bike and am getting pretty good at it!

On September 1st I went to my buddy Evan's birthday party at Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead. Despite the heavy rain it was still a lot of fun.
I particularly enjoyed watching some of the kids MOO at the baby cows. Kinda funny.

On the 3rd we celebrated Grandpa Davenport's birthday a little early (since Mae was gonna ruin the 5th!) Stroud's - YUM!

That night I helped M&D move my new dresser to my new room. The dresser is actually Dad's old one that he refinished in white - but with a secret pink door just for me. FUN!

I stayed with Grandma & Grandpa Herbert while M&D were vacationing at the hospital with Mae.
One of the nurses let me listen to Mae's heartbeat. I didn't find her all that impressive (her being the nurse - zing!)

Despite my "smile" here, I actually like helping out with baby Mae. I tend to demand it actually. Kind of like how I demanded Dad read us Dragon's Love Tacos - one of my new faves.

Helping with Mae's first bath. Or should I say "helping."

Dinner with the expanded fam at Granite City. Most notable: MY PONY TAIL!
Oh wait, do I get twice the amount of monies from Grandpa Davenport now? What, I have to give Mae one? BOOO!

Grandma Davenport picked me up from school on the 9/13 and we made a telescope to play i-spy with. I-Spy with my little eye a blurry pic but something is better than nothing!

Found these sunglasses in Mae's room. Too small?

Aunt Abby and Uncle Scott invited me for a sleepover on the 15th... with no grandparent supervision!
I assume we were all equally scared but it was a lot of fun. We made rice krispy treats - which shock, I had never done. They are delicious... in case you were wondering.
