Let Them Eat Cake!

This is a pretty awful picture to lead off a post with but I thought it gave you some insight to my life so I wanted to share.Since about Mid July I've really enjoyed being on Dad's shoulders (I'm up there nearly every day) so I thought I'd see if baby Ali wanted to get up on my shoulders. You can see her right foot and the top of her head - I wonder how my hair tastes?

Next up we have some more mediocre cell phone pictures. Is it just me or are M&D getting a little lazy on the picture front? They're the worst!
Anyway, on August 21st Grandma & Grandpa Herbert invited Aunt Abby, Uncle Scott and us over for dinner. Though there appears to be a birthday cake, it was actually just leftover cake from an office Shower Mom had earlier that day. Still, I insisted on there being candles so I could blow them out. Then I insisted on them being re-lit so I could blow them out again. I think Dad rolled his eyes at that but G&G H were happy to oblige!

On the 24th M&D and I met Aunt Darcy, Uncle Dave, Aunt Kelly, Greats Aunt Nancy & Uncle John and Grandma & Grandpa Davenport (and a few dozen others) at the Peanut in OP for a surprise 30th birthday party Ms Caitlin threw for Uncle Tim.
This cake is nice and all but I felt it was lacking a little fire power compared to last year's cake but as long as there are candles, I'm good!

I missed a party at Mason's on the 26th because I had an eye infection so on the 27th we took a trip out to see Dr. Shanker. This office is a lot farther away but with all the Legos there, it's worth it!

That night I helped M&D get my big girl room ready. Dad asked me to pull off some blue tape...
... which I was able to repurpose into some fun! There wasn't nearly enough tape on the wall for me to do all of this so I actually had M&D break me off new pieces just so I could play. Not bad eh?

The fun ended though when Dad kicked on the air compressor to install some more baseboard. That thing is LOUD!

Last picture from August! Mom brought up all of my old clothes to prep Mae's new wardrobe and I found the stack of bibs. I'm pretty much bib free these days but I found one that fit and found one for baby Zoe as well. I swear, if she spills one more thing on her sporty spice outfit, I'm gonna lose it!

Remember, you can't take it with you, but you can lick it so no one else can take it when you're gone. Until Later, Avery
